With all its obvious merits, I could not imagine that LK would ever force Chevrolet Camaro out of my heart. It's so different cars, in style, in spirit ... The volume of the engine is noticeable only at full load, with the Conder on, on the rise, and under other conditions it is clearly not felt. Yes, and I have already left the age when I want to overtake everyone. On the highway I usually drive 120-140 km, I have enough. Compared with Monterik softer, more comfortable.

So far, only admiration for the new machine. I already had time to test it on the farm, I had to pull the cattle out of the ravine and drive it over rough terrain in two weeks of owning the new Prado. More to come, we'll see.

Not boasting, but in order to understand, I will say that in recent years I have been driving jeeps, and there were different ones: Japanese (100th, 200th), German (G, X5, Touareg), and English (Disco and Sport). But still, forgive me German fans, I like the Japanese more. Yes, let them say that these are farmers' cars, but I clearly know that this car gives confidence in its reliability and understanding that at any time of the year and on any road you will get where you need to go. In order not to be unfounded, I will say that the "English" let me down 2 times. For the first time, all of a sudden, the lights on the diesel Sporte lit up, informing me that, like many others (judging by the reviews on the Internet), I got into the rear differential lock mechanism with a run of 30,000 km. And a month earlier, the transverse linkage was also changed under warranty exchange rate stability. And Disco 3 this winter, when trying to leave a serious snowdrift, refused to obey, informing me that “the box went into limited mode”, while he lay down on all the pillows and blinked all the lights.

Prior to this, the last car was the 200th Cruiser. Warranty expired, car sold. There was a choice of what to take. Dvuhsotka was gasoline and consumed fuel, especially recently, inhumane. So I thought about getting something smaller. Yes, and it's hard to drive around St. Petersburg. In general, my choice fell on the Prado. The range of prices, depending on the configuration and type of engine, ranged from 2 million to 2.7 million, taking into account the July rise in price. Of course I wanted a complete set with cameras and rear air suspension. I did not initially consider a diesel engine, because I was alarmed by the reviews about 120 diesel engines, the supply of which to Russia was stopped in 2006 due to some problems with fuel pump. The manager in the salon, after listening to my wishes and a list of special stages, issued a verdict of 2.8 million, while waiting up to 2 months. Going over the fence to the neighbors in the Lexus, I was pleasantly surprised that for 3.25 million. you can buy the GX460 in the penultimate configuration and the machines are available. Of course 450 thousand money, but the car is worth it.

100VX and its charm outweighed the cup, but I wanted to - and the main thing was the opportunity to purchase 200). Outcome…

Design: very controversial, from the moment the car was presented and when I saw it for the first time in our city, I didn’t like it at all, after 100VX it looked somehow skeptically swollen in front (especially when viewed from the front fender + headlight), inharmoniously from the side (feeling like something something is missing) and “strangely disgusting” from behind ... like “a dragonfly overeating on steroids”. In general, the first feelings from the car - the Japanese obviously overdid it with the design and created a syndicate of the "new rabbi" who overate on steroids and worked out in the gym chaotically until he was "blue in the face" ... Personal ... IMHO. But time passes, the city simply overgrows with them, where they are not there!!! In general, over time, many people got used to the design, and there is no feeling of obvious disgust. Especially after small “finishing” of accessories (lower chrome moldings-organic, but only from LX 570!!! Relatives are small. Muffler nozzle is also from there, original, tinted 100% USA, wheels 20 + wide tires, front lip, glasses, fly swatter, visor and, in principle, nothing else. This is all true for black. Other colors for him - "scoundrel" - do not suit him. It's a "classic" as Ford used to say - your car can be any color, as long as it's black.

Salon: because it was an ARAB, then the difference is significant, mainly from the emirates the interior comes with velor (except for the maximum and complete sets), and the locals (civilians - so as not to offend anyone) make tailoring under pseudo-leather, more like dermantin, which to the touch is “not very pleasant”, and your business suit or trousers will quickly “stick” to your skin and as a result turn into a pile of folds, arrows, etc. In general, a set of “breathable” summer (as someone put it in the photo of “curtains”) covers was urgently purchased for the salon (by the way, not very cheap). After that, it became much better, but IMHO, there is nothing to do without a conder in the heat in the car (fortunately there are 2 of them). The overall sound insulation (factory) is much better than 100, the cabin is quieter, the rear independent suspension played a big role in this. Ergonomics is 3 + -4. Both the rear and the front “riders” feel some flaws, the driver often accidentally presses the inter-wheel or inter-axle lock with his right knee, I don’t remember exactly. There is not enough space in the back (second row of seats) for such a car - with your feet, you catch the “back” with your knee, it would be better if the trunk was made smaller or the sled sliding “into the trunk” was invented. luggage compartment without the 3rd row of seats it’s large, it’s better to remove the 3rd row altogether - riding them is a perversion, if only children.
