The Asians tried to solve the problem by improving the soundproofing layer, but did not succeed too much, although the effect, in comparison with Kalina, is still noticeable.

The feeling of speed in mi-Do is quite peculiar.

With gearboxes, things are a little more complicated. Contrary to expectations, it is the “mechanics” that let mi-Do down. And this despite all the Nissan press releases, which repeatedly emphasized that cable drive The box guarantees a lot of advantages - here is a clear gear shift, and a low noise level, and reduced vibration. But in reality, everything is far from being so optimistic - the speeds are turned on “not very”, and sometimes the rear one has to be hammered into the groove. Yes, and there are problems with noise - from time to time the box starts to howl, and even the driver can lose his mood from this dreary symphony. Saves only a well-tuned clutch.


The clarity of the gears in mi-Do definitely needs improvement.

But the “automatic” completely rehabilitates mi-do! No wonder they ask for 40,000 rubles for it. - he fulfills them 100%. The automatic transmission juggles gears clearly and quickly, and as a nice bonus for the driver, there are additional modes designed to keep low gears. And this is a bold “+” for a hatchback! When driving uphill, this function is simply irreplaceable.

With suspension, everything is dual. On the one hand, it is this part of mi-Do that clearly proves its indestructibility - it is simply unrealistic to make it work for a breakdown! Elastic shock absorbers and 174 mm clearance allow you to forget that you are in a hatchback - it moves no worse than a real crossover! Pits, potholes, speed bumps and other free applications to the modern roads of our Fatherland will not become an obstacle for the driver who has chosen the Datsun Mi-Do.


It is better not to move out of the knurled road on a hatchback.

The reverse side of the coin is in shaking - the hatchback literally shakes the soul out of its riders, diligently transferring all the flaws of the road to the salon. Especially goes to the rear passengers, because with active driving over bumps, the stern begins to be frighteningly thrown into the air. The brakes don't shine either, despite all the claims to improve their efficiency thanks to the installation vacuum booster. The brakes are “wadded”, so to get a slowdown (even a small one), you need to diligently press on the pedal.

Salon Datsun mi-Do

Salon mi-Do is made without excessive stiffness - simple, unpretentious and tasteful. Dashboard as informative as possible, the steering wheel is quite comfortable, the deflectors are located at the optimal height, thanks to which they warm up and cool the interior well. The large screen available in the top version adds chic, and the ergonomics are well thought out. Visibility is good, and in critical situations, parking sensors help out.


The interior of the Datsun is pretty, but nothing more.

The seats are soundly profiled, but it is uncomfortable to sit behind the wheel, because the column is adjustable only in height, and the seat - only in the angle of inclination. You have to choose the optimal position for a long time, and the lateral support is so imposing that you don’t even notice its presence.


The adjustment range of the front seats is small, but there is a minimum. And the lateral support is not so hot.

The rear sofa is similar to that of Grants. But the creators of mi-Do claim that they seriously modernized it, replacing the filler and reprofiling it a little - from now on, the passenger seats are not highlighted so clearly.

Visually, the interior is even boring in places - dark color plastic, which did not spare even the emergency gang button, is slightly diluted with deathly pale aluminum inserts. Signs of "budget" are noticeable - small flaws in the assembly, roughness on the plastic, a subtle phenolic smell, which, however, quickly disappears. And the soundproofing leaves much to be desired.

It's nice that Datsun does not save on the safety of its passengers, offering even in the basic version a pair of air-running, supplemented by ABS, BAS and EBD systems. Noticeably - the level of protection, as for the price of 432,000 rubles, is almost unprecedented! Otherwise, however, nothing outstanding - a minimum set of amenities, consisting of an on-board computer, front power windows and power mirrors.

Naturally, with the increase in price, the list is replenished with new devices. So, it also has climate control. And for 466,000 you can get a car with multimedia system, which has a 2DIN monochrome screen, two pairs of speakers, Bluetooth, an SD card slot and a HandsFree function.

Where could I buy?

Bought for southern roads and the same weather. Bought consciously. Higher clearance, automatic, air conditioning, small size and lack of interest from hijackers, as well as maintainability.
