Random review from Oleg:

Loved the grip on these tires. Superb road holding on dry and wet asphalt. The sensitivity to the track is minimal. I was also surprised by the wear resistance - after 6 years of operation, the tread is completely intact, the rubber has no cracks.

These tires are part of the Hakka range. Designed for harsh Russian weather conditions. Tires provide confident driving in wet and dry weather. Reliable grip on the road surface is achieved through the use of new technologies, in particular, Dry Touch sipes.

At a speed of 80 km / h on wet roads, the braking distance of these tires is one meter shorter than that of conventional tires. Tires can be used from early spring to late autumn.

Tires have low rolling resistance, which means lower fuel consumption. The composition of rubber includes pine oil, which increases resistance to heat.

The developers of the design and structure of the tread took into account the behavior of the car at high speeds. The model is presented with different speed indexes and shows excellent performance in extreme conditions.

  • High stability on wet roads;
  • The shortest braking distance;
  • Confident handling;
  • Soft, does not become "oak" at sub-zero temperatures;
  • Weak sidewalls;
  • Harsh when driving (not critical);
  • Wear quickly on the primer.

Feedback from Oleg:
I have been using tires for a long time, what I liked:

  • Excellent road holding at speeds up to 150 km / h (no longer accelerated);
  • There is a wear indicator;
  • Optimal combination price/quality;
  • In wet weather, driving at altitude;

Of the minuses, I will single out only one - wear and tear. Although if you do not drive with trains, then it will be enough for 3-4 seasons, maybe more.

The top summer tires continue the tires that have stood the test of time. Ideal for both everyday and long trips. Designed for operation in regions with changeable weather. In the production of tires, NanoPro-Tech technology is used, thanks to which grip with the roadway becomes reliable and maneuvers are as safe as possible.

The tread cords are located radially, due to which it was possible to increase the strength of the tire structure. Another advantage of tires is a short braking distance even on wet roads and reduced rolling resistance.

  • Optimal price;
  • Perfectly balanced;
  • soft;
  • Predictable behavior on wet roads;
  • Reliable and durable;
  • Holds well on turns and when braking.

Feedback from Rinat:
Departure on it for 5 seasons, normal flight. Sometimes it was necessary to catch deep holes, but there was no damage. I can say with confidence that the rubber really works. When cornering, the car behaves confidently, in the rain there was not even a hint of aquaplaning (I don’t drive much). Durable and have excellent road traction.

When developing these tires, much attention was paid to such indicators as safety, comfortable and confident handling, reduced fuel consumption, and improved grip on the roadway.

Experts especially note the strength of the tires, which was achieved through the use of IronFlex technology. As a result, the consumer received wear-resistant tires that are resistant to uneven road surfaces.

The advantages of this rubber should also include confident handling, strict adherence to the course, reduced fuel consumption for any driving style. Among the shortcomings, weak braking performance on dry pavement can be distinguished.

Feedback from Pavel:

Used the entire season last year. What I did not like is noisy, but this is an individual indicator. I traveled from early spring, when the temperature dropped to -3, -5 degrees, the rubber did not stiffen, remained soft. Another plus is good traction. Otherwise, everything suits, if it weren’t for the noise, which by the way subsides when it’s +15 degrees outside, I would give these tires the highest rating.

These tires are designed specifically for use in difficult road and weather conditions. In Russia, these tires have become very popular, as they provide comfortable and confident driving, reliable grip on the roadway, and high directional stability.

The tread pattern has a speed index W (270 km / h), so the rubber does not lose its performance properties even at high speeds. The tread has a multi-layer design and is made using Cool Zone technology, as a result, maximum reaction to the steering wheel was achieved, especially when cornering.

The tread grooves are arranged in such a way as to ensure efficient removal of moisture from under the wheels and minimize the risk of aquaplaning. Car owners also note more comfortable driving on these tires and minimal noise while driving.

Feedback from Marat:

All of us, before choosing tires, are interested in what summer tires are the best. I also read a bunch of forums and reviews, in the end I did right choice- I bought Nokian Nordman SZ tires. I want to say that the tires are very high quality, resistant to damage, they behave perfectly both on the track and on the primer. I skated the season, flew into pits, drove along ruts, dirt roads, through mud - everywhere she showed herself on the good side. I recommend.

The top 10 summer tires were topped by tires that have a number of advantages and have received thousands of reviews from car owners around the world. The advantages include excellent braking performance on wet and dry road surfaces, minimal rolling resistance, confident vehicle handling and high cross-country ability.

When developing tires, much attention was paid to such a parameter as grip with the roadway. To this end, a unique tread pattern has been created that improves grip, especially when cornering.

No less important are acoustic characteristics. In order to reduce noise, special elements were introduced into the tread that bridge the blocks, due to this, most of the noise is suppressed. The projector is designed to remove water from the contact patch as quickly as possible to prevent hydroplaning.

In the spring, it's time to put summer tires on your car. If the old tires are already worn out, you have to buy new ones. The question arises before the driver: what summer tires to choose? Even tires of the same size from different manufacturers vary greatly in price and performance. Therefore, an informed choice of summer tires is not an easy task even for experienced car owners. You need to know what characteristics you should pay attention to and how they affect the behavior of the car on the road.

In this article you will learn:

  • What is the difference between summer tires and winter tires?
  • What to look for when choosing summer tires?
  • Rating of the best manufacturers of summer tires

At the end of the article, a small one awaits you, which details how to choose the right summer tires.

Differences between summer tires and winter tires

Temperature and speed modes operation of tires determine the main quality - the hardness of rubber. Winter tires softer. This provides them with better grip on the road in frosty weather. Therefore, they wear out quickly on hot asphalt. Solid summer tires that hold the road perfectly in the heat, but in the cold they glide even on clean asphalt.

The tread pattern is also different.. On winter tires, it is cut into thin sipes that improve grip on ice or snow. The summer rubber pattern is designed to quickly evacuate water from the contact patch and provide a high coefficient of grip at high speeds.

In addition to the listed varieties, there are all-season tires. They have average characteristics. In winter, such tires hold the road worse than winter tires, and in summer they wear out faster than summer tires. Longer braking distance and worse handling are offset by the fact that you can ride an all-season at any time of the year.

How to choose the right summer tires?

In addition to seasonality, tires differ in size, strength and other characteristics. Let's see what 6 important parameters you need to pay attention to first of all:

This characteristic is indicated on the side of the tire in the form of letters and numbers. For example, marking 205/55R16 decoded like this:

  • 205 - tire width in millimeters.
  • 55 - the profile (height) of the tire, expressed as a percentage of the width (55% of 205 is 112.75 mm).
  • R- denotes the radial design of rubber (all modern rubber is exactly like this. Manufacturers no longer produce diagonal tires for passenger cars).
  • 16 - seat size in inches. It determines the radius of the disc for which the tire is intended.

Machine manufacturers indicate the permissible tire sizes. This information is contained in the instructions and duplicated on a sticker located on the inside of the gas tank flap. However, small deviations are allowed for almost every parameter.

Important: deviations of the bore diameter are not allowed. It must exactly match the size of the disk.

When choosing non-standard size the following points must be taken into account:

  1. Tires that are significantly larger than those specified by the manufacturer will rub against the wheel arches. This not only shortens their service life, but also poses a serious danger - the tire can burst on the go.
  2. Reduced tire diameter reduces ground clearance. The car becomes more stable in turns, but the patency worsens and the risk of damage to the crankcase or exhaust pipe increases.
  3. Tires that are too wide hurt wheel arches on the turns. However, in this case, the offset of the disk also matters.
  4. As the width increases, the area of the contact patch with the road increases. The braking distance is shortened, but the dynamics and fuel consumption are slightly worsened.
  5. And don't forget: the wider the tires, the less speed you need for hydroplaning.

  6. Low profile tires improve handling but stiffen the suspension. The low profile of the rubber increases the chance of damage to the rim on a rough road. These tires are designed for high-speed driving on high-quality highways.
  7. As the height of the profile increases, the suspension becomes softer. But at the same time, handling worsens and the risk that the tire will jump off the disk increases at high speed.

This criterion is relevant when choosing tires for SUVs. Three types of tires are produced for them:

  • Highway (H/T, Highway Terrain)- tires with shallow tread. Designed for driving on asphalt roads. They have a high coefficient of adhesion and provide good handling of the car. But the tread of road tires doesn't do well off-road.
  • Universal (A/T, All Terrain) - tires with a deeper tread than road tires. This worsens handling and increases the noise level, but makes it possible to overcome light off-road conditions.
  • Mud (M/T, Mud Terrain)- tires with large deep tread elements designed for off-road driving. Some have lugs to improve flotation. Such tires are needed for those who travel a lot in mud, sand or rocky soil. But on the track, off-road tires hold the road poorly and wear out quickly.

For this setting car tires are divided into two groups: symmetrical and asymmetric. The drawing defines the characteristics of the rubber and the features of its installation.

  • Symmetrical non-directional(classic) tires are designed for lovers of leisurely driving. The pattern, which is symmetrical about the plane of rotation, ensures low noise levels and a smooth ride. However, these tires are prone to hydroplaning.
  • symmetrical directional tires are distinguished by a tread with grooves diverging from the middle to the edges. They quickly move water away from the contact patch, reducing the chance of hydroplaning. The efficiency of the protector depends on the direction of rotation. Therefore, when installing such rubber, you need to be guided by the arrows that determine the direction of rotation. They are painted on the side surface of the rubber.
  • Asymmetric non-directional tires are characterized by good handling, rigidity and hydroplaning resistance. The pattern of such tires is divided by a longitudinal rib that increases directional stability. Grooves on the inside effectively remove water from the contact patch. Therefore, you need to put such tires in a strictly defined way. The inner side is marked with the inscription INSIDE, the outer - OUTSIDE.
  • Asymmetric directional tires differ from non-directional tires in that they have restrictions on the direction of rotation. Tires on the left and right side incompatible. This is inconvenient, so this rubber is not very common.

If possible, buy asymmetrical non-directional tires. They are less susceptible to hydroplaning and have a higher friction coefficient.

Speed index

When the wheel rotates, a centrifugal force proportional to the square of the speed acts on the tire. The speed capabilities of tires are marked with letters of the Latin alphabet. This parameter is called the speed index and determines two characteristics at once:

  • road adhesion coefficient. For high-speed tires, this parameter is higher.
  • The maximum speed for which the tire is designed.

Table 1. Speed index

Speed index Max. speed Speed index Max. speed
J up to 100 km/h R up to 170 km/h
K up to 110 km/h S up to 180 km/h
L up to 120 km/h T up to 190 km/h
M up to 130 km/h H up to 210 km/h
N up to 140 km/h V up to 240 km/h
P up to 150 km/h W up to 270 km/h
Q up to 160 km/h Y up to 300 km/h

It is not necessary to chase the maximum indicator. The maximum speed of most serial cars does not exceed 180 km / h. And the speed limits on the highways are even lower. Therefore, for those who are not going to violate traffic rules or go to European autobahns, it makes no sense to overpay for tires with an index T and higher.

Load index

The heavier the car, the more force is placed on the tires. The maximum weight a wheel can support is indicated by the load index. It must match the specifications of the machine. If you are going to carry heavy loads on it, choose tires whose load index is higher than the nominal one.

Table 2. Load index

Noisiness

The loudness of the noise depends on the tread pattern, tire material and profile width. Soft and narrow tires make less noise than wide and hard ones.

To reduce noise, manufacturers use special engineering solutions:

  1. Create noise-absorbing elements.
  2. Blocks are made in different sizes so that when they hit the asphalt, they make sounds of different frequencies.
  3. Arrange rows of blocks with an offset.

European manufacturers label tires with pictograms with waves, the number of which indicates the noise level.

  • One - 3 dB below the European standard.
  • Two are within the normal range.
  • Three - 3 dB above the standard.

Noise does not affect handling and safety. Therefore, the main attention should be paid to the speed index, load and stopping distance.

Rating of the best manufacturers of summer tires 2019

Dozens of companies from different countries. Considering that the quality of tires determines the safety of the car, you should not buy products from little-known manufacturers. Better pay attention to the products of one of the top ten companies. It is impossible to choose a clear leader among them. Therefore, the companies are presented in alphabetical order:

  • Bridgestone- a leader in innovation and large-scale testing. Durable and, due to high rigidity, maneuverable tires.
  • Continental is an American company that sells almost 100 million tires annually. It pays great attention to scientific research and product improvement. It was under this trademark that the first synthetic rubber wheels and ecological tires appeared.
  • Dunlop- a company with many years of experience in production, which created the first pneumatic tire. She owns the authorship of the tread pattern divided into rows, lugs and spikes.
  • good year- the company that first developed a quiet system for diverting water from the contact patch. Tires of this brand are produced by dozens of factories in different countries.
  • Hankook- South Korean manufacturer, famous for its quality and wide range of tires.
  • Kumho- a young South Korean company that became famous for its self-sealing tires.
  • Michelin- reliable, safe and durable tires, popular in the upper price range.
  • Nokian- a Finnish brand that does not need to be introduced in Russia.
  • Pirelli Premium tires with high grip at high speeds. The quality is confirmed by the fact that the company is the official supplier of Formula 1.
  • Yokohama- Japanese company that produces tires for bicycles, cars and even airplanes.

Video: how to choose summer tires for a car

Of course, you can also ride winter tires Oh, or don’t bother and buy all-season tires, but it’s better to get separate sets of tires for winter and summer. After all, only tires designed for specific weather conditions can provide maximum safety on the road.

1. Size

Everything is relatively simple here. Tire size is the ratio of width, height and outside diameter. The sizing looks like this: 175/55R13. Using this bus as an example, let's figure out which number is responsible for what:

  1. 175 is the width of the tire in millimeters.
  2. 55 is the profile height expressed as a percentage of the tire width.
  3. 13 is the diameter in inches.

The landing diameter must correspond to the size of the disk, otherwise it will simply not work to install the tires. But with the width and height of the profile, you can play a little.

Wider tires increase the contact patch and, as a result, improve traction with the road surface. At the same time, they are heavier and worsen the dynamics of the car, handling on a bad road, and also increase fuel consumption. On the wet pavement at the same time they also create a treacherous effect of aquaplaning.

By height, tires are divided into low-profile (55% and below), high-profile (60-75%) and full-profile (80% and above). The latter are designed for SUVs and driving on country roads with bumps and potholes, while the first and second are installed on ordinary cars.

The height of the profile is also a double-edged sword: the lower the profile of the tires, the better the handling, but at the same time the tires are more susceptible to the slightest unevenness in the road surface and the risk of damaging the rims on bumps. Therefore, a low profile should be chosen only if you drive mainly on the highway and at high speed.

2. Tread pattern

Needed not for beauty. It directly affects performance characteristics tires. There are three types of tread pattern:

  1. Symmetric non-directional- the most common option, which is considered a classic and is suitable for driving in the city cycle and on the highway. Such a tread is most often used in budget tires, they are usually installed at the factory. The characteristics of the tires do not depend on the conditions and direction of travel. Wheels can be swapped.
  2. Symmetrical directional pattern removes water from the tire contact patch as quickly as possible and provides good grip with the road surface. Option for lovers of speed and driving in wet weather. Tires are installed strictly in the direction of rotation (indicated by an arrow on the side surface of the tire), otherwise it will be dangerous on a wet surface.
  3. Asymmetrical pattern good in both rain and dry weather. A universal protector that is installed on SUVs, family sedans, and high-speed coupes. On the outside and inside These tires use different tread patterns: one for the best dry grip, the other for wet grip. With the installation here, you need to be even more careful: look at the Inside / Outside marking, which means the inside and outside of the tire, respectively.

3. Speed index

One more important parameter. Denoted using Latin letters, each of which speaks of top speed, which can be developed on such tires.

Tires with a high speed index have increased grip, which, in turn, provides a short braking distance. But they also cost more. Therefore, if you are not going to scorch or your car gives out only 180 km / h, and even then from a hill, you should not overpay. But if you are a fan of fast driving, do not save money and take V or W tires.

4. Load index

This indicator determines the load that the tire can withstand at maximum speed. In other words, this Weight Limit(together with cargo, passengers and driver) on one wheel of the car.

If you often carry passengers or cargo, then you should take tires with a high load index. The best option can be selected using this table by comparing data with technical specifications cars.

5. Tire carcass design

By design features tires are divided into diagonal and radial. The first ones are almost never found now, modern tires are mostly radial. It is this fact that the letter R in the tire marking indicates, and not the diameter, as many believe. Radial tires are suitable for cars of all classes: from small cars to SUVs.

Regardless of type, tires can be reinforced. This is indicated by the letter C (Cargo) or LT (Light Truck) in the designation. Reinforced tires are designed for minivans, light trucks and vans, which are heavier than normal and are used to carry goods and large numbers of passengers.

Which tires to choose

As you remember, it all depends on the driving style and operating conditions. To make it easier for you to choose, Lifehacker has identified three of the most common scenarios. You just have to find yours.

  1. Driving in and out of town at a moderate speed. Suitable tires with a profile of 60% and above, symmetrical non-directional or asymmetrical pattern tread and speed index S or T.
  2. Driving at high speed. Tires with a profile of 55% or lower, symmetrical directional or asymmetric tread patterns and a V or W speed index will do.
  3. Off-road driving. For SUVs, it is worth taking high-profile tires with a deep tread and a load index corresponding to the weight carried. Owners of minivans and vans are better off buying special tires for commercial transport marked C and LT.

This time we have collected tires for the test, which almost all manufacturers present as the most balanced in all characteristics. higher price bar sets a very fresh model Continental Premium Contact 6, "boiled" in Mexico. Another novelty - which is made (pay attention!) In Russia.

Warm up the appetite

Without stopping after a ten-kilometer run (even a short stop will allow the tires and drivetrain components to cool, which will negatively affect the results), we proceed to the assessment. In the suburban mode (90 km/h), five test subjects took the lead - Continental, Cordiant, Firestone, Michelin and Toyo. The success of the Cordiant was especially surprising, since the previous model (Comfort of the first release) was very voracious. Skoda spent the most gasoline on Viatti tires.

At urban 60 km/h, the mentioned five turned into a top three - only Firestone, Michelin and Toyo retained their leading positions. Viatti showed insatiability here too.

Who is the loudest in the world

We move to other roads, full of cracks, potholes and even pits. Here the tires are noisy, buzzing, shaking, transmitting shocks to the body and seats, and some are stronger, others are weaker.

Experts gave the highest marks for acoustic comfort to Continental, Cordiant, Hankook, Nokian and Nordman tires. Michelin tires also do not make loud sounds when rolling, but they are distinguished from the top five by a change in the tone of noise on surfaces of different quality - they are not so much melodious as dissonant on patches of heterogeneous asphalt traditional for Russian roads. That's why we lowered the Michelin tires by half a point.

The noise record was set by Kumho. Noisy, booming rolling, scoring coverage and road bumps. They also turned out to be the toughest, actively transmitting shocks and vibrations to the body floor, seat and controls. They itch especially unpleasantly on microroughnesses and rough asphalt. The best results in terms of smoothness were “brought” by Hankook and Cordiant: the Octavia rolls softly and comfortably on them.

Let's run through the countryside

On an unpaved 12 percent rise, we evaluate the loyalty of tires to unpaved roads. Starting uphill with “gas” and “without gas” and trying to accelerate intensively allow you to find out which tires cling to the ground well, how much and how sharply they contribute to the loss of traction during slipping. Traction control, of course, turn off.

Viatti behave more confidently than others on a dirt slope. No wonder! Pay attention to - all the checkers are finely chopped, as if on M + S tires intended only for country roads.

And more than others, Continental tires sin with a tendency to slip and insufficient traction - we rated their “ground” abilities at four points. Do not leave hard roads!

The results are quite natural: it is impossible to make a tire that will be the best both on asphalt and on the ground.

On the brakes!

In the wet, Hankook beats everyone. Continental and Nokian with the same braking distances breathe into the back of his head. In the lagging behind - Firestone, losing almost seven (!) Meters to the leader. In the penultimate position - Viatti with a gap of 4.3 meters.

On dry pavement Octavia is better only brakes on Michelin tires. The second result is shown by Continental, losing only 30 cm to the leader. The trailers in this exercise are the same, only now behind all Viatti, and in front of him is Firestone.

On wet pavement, Conti, Nokian and Kumho have the most stable results: the spread is no more than 20 cm. The maximum difference in the results obtained in different attempts was a little more than a meter - Firestone and Pirelli excelled. In the dry, Michelin provided the most stable braking: only half a meter of difference in six approaches. But Firestone, Nordman, Pirelli and Viatti showed the maximum dispersion - more than two meters.

On rearrangement

We carry out this test to evaluate the behavior of tires during extreme maneuvering. Skoda, moving at a constant speed in fourth (direct) gear, abruptly (at a distance of 12 meters) changes lanes to the adjacent lane. The tester starts the exercise with a low, obviously passing speed and each time increases it by 1–2 km/h. In addition, he exposes an expert assessment based on the recorded comments on the behavior of the car and the ability to drive it.

Skoda showed the highest speed (69.3 km / h) when rearranging on wet pavement on Nokian tires. And the most modest result (63.7 km / h) gave her Firestone.

Nokian tires retained their leadership, the speed limit on them increased to 71.2 km/h. Firestone remained the most modest, it could not rise above the “67.5 km / h” mark when performing an extreme maneuver.

And Skoda is the most pleasant to drive on Nokian tires, both on dry pavement and on wet. The testers noted clear reactions, adequate turning angles of the steering wheel and its sufficient information content. The balance of handling is close to neutral.

Firestone tires made me sweat on wet pavement. The low speed is due to the early onset of slips, which, translated into a common language, means insufficient grip. In addition, the almost complete lack of information content on the steering wheel does not allow you to choose the required angles of its rotation in order to make the car move along the desired trajectory.

On dry surfaces, the same Firestone remained in the lagging behind in behavior, but already in the company with Toyo. The Octavia on Firestone tires has such large steering angles and delays in reactions that the driver does not have time to turn the steering wheel to the required angle. The situation is complicated by the changeable nature - the car slides with its muzzle out at the entrance to the first corridor, demonstrating understeer, which, when the car stabilizes in the adjacent lane, turns into oversteer, forcing Skoda to “revenge with its tail”.

Initial reactions are good on Toyo tires, but as speed increases, the Octavia begins to suddenly break into a skid, which is very difficult to control. At the same time, the steering wheel becomes so “empty”, as if it was disconnected from the wheels.

Putting in place

In thirteenth place in our ranking, having earned only 796 points and falling into the category of "Weak tires". Failure by modern standards results in the nominations "Safety" and "Behavior". Strengths- the average level of comfort and high, on a par with the Michelin, fuel efficiency. Possible application - unhurried, careful driving with the stabilization system constantly on.

In twelfth place Viatti Strada Asimmetrico V‑130. Only 835 total points put them in the "Mediocre tyres" category. Weak braking, worse results in fuel efficiency, comfort level is close to average. Surprisingly complaisant in manageability. Suitable for leisurely driving on hard roads, including unpaved ones.

The tenth and eleventh places are shared by and . Despite the equal number of points scored, they are completely different in character. “Koreans” are frankly a failure in terms of comfort, however, in the “Safety” nomination, they are ahead of Toyo and even the superior Cordiant and Nordman. The "Japanese" are a little better in behavior, besides, they will please the driver with high fuel efficiency, comparable to Michelin. Both are suitable for driving without fanaticism.

MINUSES

Worst "wet" braking; problematic directional stability and handling during extreme maneuvers on wet pavement

Worst braking on dry pavement; the highest fuel consumption; notes on comfort

Difficult handling during extreme maneuvers on dry pavement; notes on smoothness

The most uncomfortable complex directional stability and handling during extreme maneuvers on wet pavement

On the ninth line. Hey Taiwan! Maxxis is a fairly young company, but rapidly progressing. Premitra HP5 outperformed more famous Japanese and Korean rivals. These are not the most best tires for aggressive driving due to difficult behavior during extreme maneuvers. But they are suitable for everyday calm driving, and they will provide higher safety than those standing higher in the final rating Cordiant, Nordman and Dunlop. Close to the middle peasants in terms of comfort and efficiency.

On the eighth step -. New model noticeably added relative to the representative of the first generation. Now it justifies its name and rightfully won the title of the most comfortable tire (albeit in company with Hankook). Another achievement - these tires are among the most economical at "suburban" speed. A noticeable minus is difficult handling during extreme maneuvers on dry surfaces. These tires are not designed for aggressive driving, but are quite suitable for every day use.

Russian with 889 points prints out the "Good Tires" group. A strong middle peasant in all objective indicators, the only exception is “dry” braking, in which he gave a slight slack. But in the nomination "Behavior" competes with tops,- Michelin and Hankook are even slightly inferior to him.

: the sixth place in the final standings and the last position in the category "Excellent tires" is an undoubted success. These tires are comparable to Pirelli in performance and character. According to indicators such as handling, comfort and economy, they go head to head.

The fifth line in accordance with the position of the brand in the top five global tire manufacturers is occupied by Pirelli with model Cinturato P1 Verde. A few years ago, tires under the Pirelli brand stood out for their driving inclinations. Now the palm in terms of handling has been intercepted by Nokian, but Pirelli has not given up the leadership in directional stability. And therefore this best tires for long trips- if you can deal with increased level noise in the cabin and harshness.

Russian tires are symbolically located on the line corresponding to the serial number of the model. Leadership ambitions are backed up the best results in fuel efficiency, as well as in braking on dry pavement. And in wet braking - only the fifth result, which goes against the modern trend. After all, now almost all tire manufacturers are trying to improve braking on wet surfaces as much as possible, since it is considered to be the most dangerous. Nevertheless, the tires are excellent, without restrictions.
