Sequencing

10. Now we remove both timing covers - first the top and then the bottom.
11. Now we need to rotate the crankshaft pulley so that the mark on it aligns with the slot on the lower timing case. In order to make the pulley easy to turn, you need to make a bolt of its fastening. You don't need to screw it in completely.

12. In the same way, the mark on the crankshaft pulley should be aligned with the slot on the bottom of the timing cover.
13. Scroll the water pump pump clockwise. To do this, you will have to unscrew all the necessary bolts.
14. Dismantle the belt drive.
15. Remove the tension roller by unscrewing all the bolts securing it.
16. We put a new roller in its place.

17. It is possible that it will be necessary to dismantle the water supply pump. To do this, remove the plastic protection and camshaft sprockets (inlet and outlet).
18. When the pump has already been replaced, put the removed sprockets in place.
19. We make a tension of a new belt drive.

20. Scroll the water pump clockwise, thereby tensioning the belt. In this case, the mark on the rollers must be aligned with the mark on the tensioner fastener.
21. Once again, we check the correctness of combining all the marks. We make adjustments if necessary.
22. If everything is combined, we begin to reassemble the mechanisms.

1. Hang the front of the car and install the support stands.

2. Disconnect:

6. Remove:

□ Pulley bolt crankshaft (4).

□ Crankshaft pulley (5).

□ Dipstick and probe tube.

□ Lower timing belt cover (6).

7. Make sure the alignment marks are aligned (7).

8. Loosen tensioner bolt (8). Pull the tensioner away from the belt. Lightly tighten the bolt.

9. Remove the timing belt.

Installing the CHEVROLET Aveo Belt

1. Make sure that the alignment marks (3) and (7) are aligned.

2. Put on a belt counter-clockwise, since an asterisk of a cranked shaft. Make sure the drive belt is tight.

3. Loosen tensioner bolt (8). Let the tensioner work.
