The instrument panel here is simply borrowed from Renault. It is made in the spirit of the French company, especially the on-board computer display, in which the fuel level and engine temperature scales are depicted in stripes.

Its consumption in the city on the mechanics is 10.3 liters, and on the machine - 11 liters. It is noteworthy that all-wheel drive can only be obtained on the mechanics. As the so-called "base engine", the developers provide a 1.6 liter engine. By the way, we are not talking about the supply of diesel engines at the moment, so all default settings are gasoline. In this case, they did not try to get the maximum return from this engine, because the usual aspirated will delight us with 102 horsepower.

Considering that we have an SUV in front of us, the initial torque figure is not the most impressive - 145 Nm, but all this is available up to 4 thousand revolutions. The maximum speed for this instance is a mark of 163 km / h, along with an outstanding acceleration of 11.8 seconds.

Such a motor can be purchased exclusively with mechanics, however, in this case, a choice is given whether it will be a six-speed mechanism or five. By the way, buying an option with a 6-speed gearbox, you will get all-wheel drive, which is not in the configuration, where the mechanics are 5 steps, however, due to the increased weight, the dynamics will drop significantly.

At the same time, choosing a complete set for himself, the buyer will also be able to think about installing an automatic box. With such a mechanism, it will be possible to squeeze 168 km / h out of the car, but the acceleration will not be a level better than that of an engine with a smaller volume - 11.2 seconds.

But choosing complete package where all-wheel drive, mechanical box with 6 gears, it will be possible to get the most out of what such a car gives. The 177 km/h limit and finally a decent acceleration of 10.4 seconds is the best that Nissan Terrano offers us in the new 2015 body.

Outwardly, the "Japanese" is much prettier than its French "brother". If the Duster looks typical budget car interspersed with individual "non-budget" elements, the exterior of the Nissan Terrano is noticeably richer, brighter and more attractive. It really looks like a car of a higher class, which may well attract the attention of a certain part of Russian motorists, for whom design is an important detail.

The exterior of the "third Terrano" received a sufficient amount of aggression, expressed through the predatory look of the front optics, a massive radiator grille and sharp bumper contours that cut through oncoming air flows. Much more attractive than the Duster, the feed of the new Terrano also looks: a different bumper, ennobled backdoor and stylish lanterns give the new look a complete look modern crossover, able to harmoniously fit into the line of Nissan cars on an equal footing with other models.

Unlike the "younger brother", the engine is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic transmission, as well as an exclusively all-wheel drive transmission. Sprint to 100 km/h for the crossover takes 10.7-11.5 seconds, its speed threshold is 174-180 km/h, and the "appetite" in mixed conditions does not exceed 7.8-8.7 liters per "hundred".

As a platform for the third "release" of the Nissan Terrano, the Renault Duster chassis with a transversely oriented power plant. Front load-bearing body relies on a standard independent design with McPherson struts and stabilizer roll stability. In the rear, on front-wheel drive vehicles, a semi-independent architecture with a torsion beam is involved, and on all-wheel drive vehicles, a multi-link complex with coil springs is used.
The steering system on the off-road vehicle is rack-and-pinion with a hydraulic booster, and a brake package with ventilated discs on the front and "drums" on the rear axle.
