Good day! Neither more nor less, but I have already dashed off 5,000 kilometers on my car and, in this regard, I want to write about my first impressions of the new Kia Cerato 3, about its pros and cons that I noticed during operation.

Let's start with what I like about the car:

Excellent engine (G4NA NU 2.0 mpi). I chose a car from the C segment, and as it turned out, it is almost impossible to find the good old aspirated in this class. I didn’t even consider the turbine, because. on the previous car tormented with her plenty. Yes, I am well aware of possible teases, but in my opinion this is more due to improper maintenance and operation.

Automatic transmission (A6GF1). Everything is simple here: not so long ago I had a DSG7 - an excellent box, it has no equal in dynamics, excellent fuel economy and fast gear shifting, but its maintenance is just out, so the choice was made towards a reliable and unpretentious torque converter.

Suspension. The feeling that the car goes "like on rails." Yes, many people are not satisfied with the rear beam, its holes on the "cops" and "swimming" along the highway, all this, of course, is, but in general it does not bring me negative.

Good tires. Despite my average complete set Luxe, on factory stampings it is already great tires Pirelli Cinturato P1.

The summer of 2017 brought many surprises: we saw extreme heat and rain for weeks, so we had enough opportunities to test the tires. There is only one verdict - the rubber proved to be excellent. The only negative is that small pebbles are often stuffed into it, and then, when driving with open windows, they create discomfort with a clatter.

Dynamics. It’s ridiculous, of course, to talk about her, having only 150 fillies in stock, but in the city they don’t make you feel like a vegetable in the slightest, given that for 5k run the average speed in the BC was as much as 27 km / h. I think that the acceleration declared by the manufacturer to 100 km / h in 9.3 seconds is the place to be, although I myself did not measure it.

The color is "white pearl", or to be precise, Snow White Pearl. For Crimea, I don’t even consider another color for obvious reasons. And in general, he is very good at KIA.

Unusual torpedo. I like non-standard solutions, and the wave running through the interior of the car is always pleasing to the eye.

Large trunk and spacious salon. We all noticed that over the past ten years, almost all manufacturers of segment C have grown a little in their dimensions, and KIA has not bypassed this. In short - winter tires fit in my trunk entirely, and on back row I can sit comfortably behind myself at 177 cm, and it's great.

Security. 6 pillows in any configuration, who else can boast of such? On crash tests, always positive ratings - another fad in the dignity of the car.

Excellent rear view mirrors. They are large and chic, you can see everything, and even more.

Consumption. 100% city, average speed 20-22 km / h, depending on the driving style, it comes out 9.5-10.7 liters per 100 km., 100% highway, average speed 100 km / h - 5.8 liters per 100 km. With a mass of 1200 kg, I consider the performance excellent.

The price of the car and its maintenance. I had cars from different manufacturers, but a new one from the salon for the first time. In my opinion, for such a price and in a similar configuration, it is cheaper than its direct competitors. Prices for maintenance and components are also not afraid of a large abundance of zeros.

And, of course, what I don't like about the car:

Curved gaps. Perhaps this is the lack of Russian assembly. A friend has a VW Polo Sedan, 2016, assembled in Kaluga - and the same picture is observed there.

Thickness and quality of paintwork. We all know very well about the quality, but the fact that the car was painted "scattered" - this, of course, surprised me. In the cabin, when buying, I pierced the entire car with a thickness gauge (so, just in case), and I was struck that the paint on the same element differs by an order of magnitude.

For example, let's take the hood: along the perimeter, the indicator was on average 115 microns, but right in the center it turned out to be 140 microns.

Doors don't close well. At the beginning, I even had to make an effort to close it, but now everything has become easier - maybe the locks have developed, or maybe I myself have already got used to them.

Reverse soundproofing. Or rather, it does not exist at all, although what else do I want from a budget car.

Why was the front passenger door removed at the factory? Much has already been said about this, but no one has found a clear answer - only assumptions. My dealer didn't answer either. I visited them on purpose - they reviewed Cerato what they have, they all revealed a similar defect.

ABC work. Also a hackneyed topic, lives its own life, works when it wants.

Torpedo reflected in windshield. There are, of course, this on many cars, but the reflection of the red electronic clock is really annoying.

The instrument panel does not show transmission. Not so much a big problem, but with such a function it would be much nicer.

Regular ShGU - it's just a guard! How can you put such a head in such a car? Cerato is probably the last place where such darkness sets in, even Rio has already come to change. Although in my car I have already solved this problem by replacing it with Incar.

Low armrest. Maybe it's just me that has this problem because I like to sit a little higher, but in order to put my elbow on it, you need to lean a little to the side.

There is no passenger seatbelt sensor. Perhaps this is only on my configuration, but it is somehow strange to save the manufacturer on such a trifle.

Piano varnish. Recently, it has become very fashionable, all manufacturers shove it wherever it hits. I don't like it, it's too easily soiled, shiny and scratches quickly.

Disgusting fabric on the seats. And even in maximum configuration it is exactly the same as in the database. Although I already solved the problem by installing covers.

Back glass. It practically "lies", therefore, firstly, almost nothing is visible in it, and secondly, it serves as an excellent platform for dust.

Outcome

Conclusion. The updated KIA Cerato 2017, like any other car, has its own positives and negative sides And that's exactly why I like her. I note that all of the above is just my subjective opinion. I do not impose anything on anyone and do not try to justify my choice. Would I buy it again if it was offered to me? Definitely yes! Possible only in the maximum configuration.
