Mazda 6 Russian assembly. Where are Mazda cars made? Production in Russia

Japanese automobile concern Mazda doesn't bother much with the names of its cars. The Japanese call most of their models by numbers or abbreviations. But, despite this, Japanese cars in every country in the world are the standard of comfort, beauty and safety. Most of all, our compatriots like the Mazda 6 model. Today, the third generation of this car is being sold in Russia. The first generation of the car was released in 2002. Today, the question still remains open for many fans and owners of the model where the Mazda 6 is assembled, in particular for the Russian market. They started selling cars in our market back in 2003.

At that time, our compatriots were offered models of Japanese and American assembly. It was from these countries that this model of car was supplied to us, since production had not yet been established in the Russian Federation. But, despite the high cost of the car, the demand for it was huge. In 2010, this model was restyled and was also supplied from the USA and Japan. Since the demand for Mazda 6 was high, the Japanese decided to open a conveyor line in Russia for the production of this model in Vladivostok. Thanks to this, this car is still produced at the MAZDA SOLLERS plant (Primorsky Territory). Serial production of cars started here in 2012. In addition to this model, on Russian plant Mazda CX-5 is being assembled. In our country, Mazda 6 has been produced since the third generation, the first two were supplied from abroad. Also, enterprises for the production of other Mazda models are established in:

  • Japan (Hiroshima, Aki, Miyoshi)
  • USA (Michigan, Flat Rock)
  • China (Nanjing)
  • South Africa (Pretoria).

Model characteristics

The third generation Mazda 6 car in Russia was presented at the Moscow Motor Show in 2012. But before that, the car was updated twice in 2005 and 2010. Where the Mazda 6 is produced, Russian operating conditions are taken into account, therefore, the car is made as suitable as possible for our roads. The concern's designers made the car more presentable. The appearance has not changed dramatically, but updates are still visible. They put a new one on the car radiator grille with chrome elements. The manufacturer also changed the shape of the LED headlights.

Also, a different bumper was installed on the sedan. A different bumper and optics were also installed on the rear of the car. But, at first glance, it is difficult to understand what generation of the car is in front of you. But true experts will be able to figure it out. You can distinguish the “six” from the “five” by the new “fin” on the roof and brutal black new wheels. But the interior of the car has undergone more serious changes.

There is more space inside, and engineers also installed a center console with a seven-inch screen. Instead of hand brake, there is an electronic version. Genuine leather inserts add style to the interior. In general, the interior turned out to be quite comfortable. To do this, the manufacturer harmoniously distributed the space and installed new seats.

The Mazda 6 also has good sound insulation; “left” sounds are practically inaudible in the cabin. Russian buyers can purchase a sedan with two options of petrol power units. Where Mazda 6 is produced, a 2.0-liter engine (150 hp) is installed on the car. With such an engine, the Japanese sedan accelerates to the first hundred in just 10.5 seconds.

The maximum that the engine can squeeze out is 207 kilometers per hour. The car consumes little gasoline with such an engine - 6.1 liters per hundred. The second engine is 2.5-liter, producing 192 horsepower. A car with such a unit accelerates to the first hundred in 7.8 seconds. Maximum speed also more - 223 kilometers. Average fuel consumption with this engine is 6.5 liters. Japanese sedan Available with two transmissions to choose from (“manual” and “automatic”). It is worth mentioning the dimensions of the machine: 4870 mm × 2830 mm × 1450 mm. Volume luggage compartment the car is 438 liters.

Build quality

Starting from the beginning of this year, the Russian enterprise has established a full production cycle of the Mazda 6 model. Like any other car, this one also has its drawbacks. Russian owners speak poorly about the car's clearance. They say that at the enterprise in Vladivostok it was not “customized” for use on our roads. As a result, the sound insulation of the cabin suffered.

Inside the sedan you can hear unpleasant noises and sounds when driving. Also, buyers talk negatively about quality paint coating. Why, where Mazda 6 is assembled, did they not take this into account? During operation, the car body quickly and easily gets scratched, and after driving in rain and snow, rust begins to appear on it. There are also complaints about the comfort of the sedan. For finishing, the manufacturer used not very high-quality plastic, but there is a positive point here, after long-term operation it doesn't squeak. On the Russian market you can purchase Mazda 6 in four different trim levels:

  • Drive
  • Active
  • Supreme
  • Supreme Plus.

Basic version of the sedan with manual transmission will cost buyers 1,060,000 rubles. And the maximum configuration of the Mazda 6 costs 1,467,000 rubles.

Mazda is a brand famous throughout the world for its reliable, stylish and fast cars.

Over almost a hundred-year history, a huge number of cars have been produced, the production of which has been established in many parts of the planet.

The scale of the project can also be judged by the number of employees working for the company - their number is about 40 thousand, and the total turnover amounts to tens of billions of dollars per year.

Where are Mazda cars made? Are there factories in Russia, and how high-quality a product do they produce? Let's consider these points in more detail.

General information about Mazda

The history of Mazda Motor Corporation starts in 1920. It was then that several investors acquired a construction company whose main products were wood products.

Within a few years, several batches of two-wheeled vehicles were produced, which at first were not in demand.

Over time, the production of tricycles began, and in 1931 the company received its current name Mazda.

In the second world war The plant was significantly damaged, but by the end of the 40s it was restored.

Car production started in 1960. It was then that the Mazda R360 was put on display for the audience to see.

The first cars to be exported were the Mazda Familia. Their sales started in New Zealand, and already in 1967, the start of production of new Mazdas on the European market began.

By 2007, the car was assembled in more than two dozen countries around the world and exported to 120 countries.

The company's shareholders are more than 55 thousand individuals. At the same time, more than a third of the shares were purchased by Ford, which after 2008 reduced its share to 13 percent, and two years later - to 3 percent.

The main factories are located in Japan - the cities of Hofu and Hiroshima, and another 18 are scattered around the world.

As for Russia, in 2011 an agreement was signed to start production in the Primorsky Territory, and in the spring of 2012 an agreement to create its own assembly shop based in Vladivostok came into force.

In September of the same year, the new enterprise was put into operation. At the initial stage, two models were produced in Russia - the CX-5 and the “six”. The annual volume was 50 thousand cars annually.

Where is Mazda 3 assembled, are there factories in Russia?

Mazda 3 is a compact car developed by Mazda Motors. In Japan it is called "Axela". It is exported under the names Mazda 323 and Prot?g?.

Already in 2009, a new (second) generation of the Troika appeared on the market, and two years later its restyled version appeared. In 2013, the 3rd generation car entered the market.

Despite the fact that the model has been successfully sold for more than ten years, production in Russia started relatively recently.

So, in 2013, we managed to launch a full-fledged assembly of the 3rd series at a plant in Vladivostok.

Most available package became Drive, which comes with 1.5 and 2.0 liter engines, 6-speed automatic transmission, as well as 4 or 6-speed manual transmission.

Mazda 3, manufactured in Russia, is distinguished by an improved suspension, higher ground clearance, better sound insulation, adapted for operating the car on the roads of the Russian Federation.

There was a “fly in the ointment”. Mazda connoisseurs criticized the domestic version from the standpoint of the body.

The main problem was metal, corroded and having too little thickness.

The Russian version of Mazda quickly becomes covered with rust and forces car owners to spend money on restoration, carrying out.

Mazda 5 (Mazda Premacy) and CX5

The Mazda 5 is well known under the name Premacy. This is a compact car that first saw the world in 1999.

The first generation of the “five” was seen by residents of Asia and Europe. After that, the car was sold by Ford in many markets (including the Japanese market).

By the end of March 2005, about 300 million 5 and Premacy cars had been sold.

The CX-5, a crossover that was first released in 2011, received no less popularity.

In this model, the Japanese managed to introduce all the latest technology in the safety and efficiency sector.

The car replaced the Tribute and CX-7.

The manufacturing country until 2012 was Japan, but after that the assembly process started in Vladivostok (in the Primorsky Territory).

The first models went on sale in 2011. According to reviews from car owners, these versions of cars really have high quality and worthy of attention.

From the moment Russia became a producing country, the first negative reviews regarding build quality. That's why many buyers first look at the VIN to accurately determine where a vehicle was manufactured.

The advantages of domestic assembly include more low cost and adaptation to domestic roads.

But many did not pay attention to this factor - car enthusiasts were ready to pay more, but at the same time get a “purebred Japanese”.

A car made for Russian market, is equipped with three engines - 2.2 liters (turbo diesel with 149 and 175 hp), as well as 2.0 liters (gasoline with 164 hp). The engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The package includes everything you need for a quality ride - cruise and climate control, ABS, heated seats, rain sensors and much more.

As for the assembly, it is worth highlighting one more nuance - the high risk of problems with the car’s automatic transmission.

Crossover with automatic transmission The gears are slow and poorly suited for sporty driving.

Another disadvantage is sound insulation, which, despite the manufacturers’ statements, is far from ideal, so most likely it will have to be done.

Riding over bumps, potholes and potholes definitely affects the ride quality.

As for other aspects, no problems were found here. The interior is equipped with soft chairs; high-quality plastic is used to make the panel.

If you can put up with the increased noise in the cabin, the car is worthy of attention.

Mazda 6

It's hard to find today experienced car owner, which would be on personal experience did not appreciate the capabilities of the “six”. Mazda 6 is a medium-sized car that has been on the market since 2002.

In China and Japan, the model is sold under the Atenza brand. The predecessor is the 626th Mazda, known as the Mazda Capella.

The company produces Mazda 6 in many countries around the world. The largest production is established in two cities of Japan - Hiroshima and Ujima.

In addition, the model is assembled in a number of other countries - the USA, Thailand, Vietnam, Mexico, Taiwan and Russia.

On the territory of the Russian Federation, cars are produced jointly by specialists from Japan and Russia.

As with previous models, the Mazda 6 is produced in Vladivostok and is considered the best-selling vehicle.

A feature of the new technology was original design and reliability. According to many experts, this car managed to combine all the best from previous Mazda models.

Until 2013, there were Japanese versions of the “six” on the Russian market, but with the start of production in Russia, the “original” models began to gradually disappear.

The Russian version of the Mazda 6 was released in the Activ configuration with a 2.5-liter engine and a capacity of 195 “horses”.

The main features of the machine are: front-wheel drive, automatic transmission, efficient systems security and climate control.

A lot has changed since the release of the Mazda 6 in Russia. Large-unit assembly was established at the plant in Vladivostok, but due to financial problems it was suspended.

No serious work was done to adapt the car to domestic roads - ground clearance remained at the same level, sound insulation did not improve either. For this reason, driving on bad roads is not very enjoyable.

The car body and paintwork deserve special criticism, which is why the car is difficult to handle. autumn-winter period. After just a few seasons, traces of rust appear.

Due to the poor quality of the paintwork, new scratches regularly appear on the body.

The plastic, which is characterized by increased rigidity, also deserves special criticism.

The main problem of Russia, as a manufacturing country, is component materials.

The body is assembled on a fully automated conveyor, but the output is still very thin metal.

I wonder what chassis and interior are supplied from China.

The appearance of the car remained almost unchanged. The radiator grille, head optics and foglights have undergone minor adjustments.

One of the advantages is “smart headlights” that independently turn off the light when an oncoming car moves.

The interior design of the cabin deserves special attention - the presence of a new multimedia system, a seven-inch display, original instrument panel.

Among the advantages of the “six” it is worth highlighting the smooth ride and lack of vibration.

You can buy a pure “Japanese” only until 2012. After that, the Russian market was flooded with the “six” of domestic production.

Mazda 626

The Mazda 626 is well known in the European and US markets, but in its homeland it was produced under a different name, Capella.

The car was produced for 32 years, from 1970 to 2002. Subsequently, the car formed the basis of the Ford Probe and Ford Telsar cars.

The 626th model itself is based on the Mazda Capella, produced mostly for the Japanese market. The model was sold in Australia, Asia, South Africa and other countries.

Between 1992 and 1997, production of the 626 GE was established in Japan. These models were never produced in Russia.

Mazda 323

Mazda 323 is known under the names Protege, Astina, Familia. The first "troika" for a long time was the main representative of the family of Japanese cars.

During its existence, the car was modified many times and produced for many countries.

The production of the car at various times was established in the USA, South Africa, Japan, Colombia and other countries. The release of the Familia Neo version started in 1994 (manufacturing country Japan).

Country of origin by VIN code

The structure of the VIN code for Mazda vehicles depends on the country where the vehicle was manufactured.

So, if the car was manufactured at the FORD plant, the structure of the VIN code is similar to the cars of this manufacturer.

Cars sold on the European market also have their own characteristics.

The VIN code structure is as follows:

  • Next four characters (VDS). 4 and 5 characters - car family and model, 6 - wheelbase, 7 - body type.
  • The eighth digit is the engine.
  • The ninth character is for the European market (transmission type), and for the North American market - WMI (JMI).
  • Tenth characters - model year(for the Israeli market).
  • The eleventh digit is the plant where the assembly is carried out. 0 - Hiroshima, 1 - Hofu, K - Kansas City.
  • From 12 to 17 - serial number.

Decoding VIN code for Mazda CX5.

For cars that were produced for Europe, a special VIN was developed, which is similar in structure to VIN car Ford brands:

  • First three characters (WMI) - an identification number manufacturer (J, M, Z).
  • Next six characters (VDS). 4 and 5 symbols are the body type and engine, 6 is the transmission, 7 is the code of the country of origin, 8 is the code of the manufacturer (within the country), and 9 is the model code.
  • The tenth character is the model year (for the Israeli market).
  • The eleventh digit is the year of manufacture code.
  • The twelfth character is the code for the month of manufacture.
  • From 13 to 17 - serial number.

The Mazda VIN code for the North American Ford branch deserves special attention:

  • The first three characters (WMI) are the manufacturer's identification number (J, M, Z).
  • Next six characters (VDS). 4 - weight parameters, 5-7 - model code, 8 - motor code, and 9 - checksum.
  • The tenth character is the model year.
  • Eleventh digit - assembly plant
  • From 12 to 17 the character is the serial number.

Mazda cars are worthy special attention. Moreover, each owner personally decides which cars from which country of origin are suitable for him personally.

The domestic version is cheaper, but has a number of disadvantages. As for the original "Japanese", you can often find them only on secondary market.

(Mazda Motor Corporation) is a Japanese car manufacturer, widely known in our country, primarily thanks to its Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 models, founded in 1920. Mazda cars are assembled at factories in various parts of the world, and 3 of the most large plant companies are located directly in Japan:

In addition, car factories where Mazda cars are assembled can be seen in China, the USA, Thailand, Russia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Ecuador, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Colombia and Mexico.

In Russia, the Mazda brand is officially represented by the distributor " Mazda Motor Rus"starting in December 2005. It is a subsidiary of the parent corporation Mazda Motor Corporation. And the main plant where Mazda is produced in Russia is a joint project of the Mazda company and the Russian company Sollers - the automobile plant" MAZDA SOLLERS Manufacturing Rus" (MSMR), created in October 2012 and based in Vladivostok.

Mazda CX-5 production line at the Mazda Sollers car plant

So let's look directly at various models, where Mazda cars are assembled for the Russian market and where certain models and modifications of cars of this brand come to us.

Where is Mazda 3 assembled?

Perhaps the most popular Mazda car in our country, the 3rd model is the dream of young people and definitely a desirable car for many car enthusiasts, striking in its beauty and style. Past generations of Mazda 3 are actively sold on the secondary market and used Mazda three-ruble cars are in great demand.

Despite numerous conversations about the imminent transfer of car assembly to Russia, at the moment the model is a “purebred” Japanese, of which there are fewer in Russia every year - Mazda 3 is assembled in Japan at the Ujima plant in Hiroshima, and already assembled from there it is delivered to Russia. Moreover, the early generations, starting from the very beginning of Mazda 3 sales in our country in 2003, were also assembled in Japan. However, if you are going to buy a used Mazda 3, and you are not indifferent to the country of manufacture of the car, then it is better to check it by VIN code before purchasing.

Where is Mazda 6 assembled?

Mazda 6 (also known as Mazda Atenza in China and Japan) - large family car, which has been in production since 2002 and is currently in its third generation. The model replaced its long-serving “father” - the Mazda 626 (Capella), which, in turn, replaced the Mazda 616. Today it is the best-selling Mazda model around the world.

The Mazda 6 was the first example of the company's new production strategy " stylish, insightful and with a special design philosophy"car - a new image for almost all Mazda models.

Today, the Mazda 6 is assembled in Russia - at the Mazda Sollers plant in Vladivostok, and, despite the fact that a small number of cars of this model still come to us from Japan, purebred Japanese “Six” Mazdas of the new generation are practically impossible to find. Assembly of the Mazda 6 was established in Russia back in 2013, and from this, according to the first reviews, the quality of the car’s paint and varnish coating suffered somewhat in the direction of a significant decrease in resistance to chips and scratches, and the plastic in the interior, which began to look somewhat cheaper. Moreover, in the case of Mazda 6 Russian assembly what happens with many other models when they are transferred to domestic assembly did not happen - the already small ground clearance of the Six remained the same and was not adapted to Russian conditions.

But a purebred Japanese Mazda 6 can be bought with mileage up to 2012 - this will be the early pre-restyling generation of the car. The model was supplied from Japan (plant in Hiroshima), from its very debut of sales in Russia in 2002 until the establishment of production at Sollers.

Where is Mazda CX-5 assembled?

The Mazda CX-5 is a compact crossover and a fairly young model, first going into production in 2012, and first shown to the public as a concept car in May 2011. The car shares a platform with the Mazda3 and Mazda 6.

Mazda CX-5 is the only model of the company today that, from the very beginning of its production for Russia, has been assembled here - at the Sollers Vladivostok automobile plant. In terms of build quality, the crossover is not much worse than its Japanese “colleagues”, the only minor complaints are automatic transmission and sound insulation.

Where is Mazda CX-9 assembled?

Mazda CX-9 is a full-size crossover that is produced by Mazda at the Ujina Automobile Plant in Japan since 2007. The Mazda CX-9 is built on the Ford CD3 platform, which is also used on the Ford Edge, in addition, the CX-9 uses the 3.7 L V6 engine used in the Ford line of vehicles. But with its closest brother - the Mazda CX-7 - despite its external similarity, this model has little in common.

The Mazda CX-9, like its budget sister "Treshka", is a purebred Japanese - from the very beginning of sales in 2007, the Mazda CX-9 has been assembled in Japan at the Ujina plant.

Where was the Mazda CX-7 assembled?

The CX-7 is a mid-size crossover SUV from Mazda built in Hiroshima, Japan starting in late 2006. The CX-7 borrows its front suspension from the Mazda MPV minibus, and rear suspension from the Mazda 5. Sales of the CX-7 were mediocre in large part because the model was positioned between compact and midsize crossover sizes, and it proved uncompetitive in both of those categories. Therefore, the model ultimately gave way to the CX-5. The CX-5 has a more efficient powertrain, more interior space, and appearance more attractive than the CX-7.

From the very beginning of its sales in Russia, the Mazda CX-7 was assembled in Japan at the main automobile plant in Hiroshima.

pros

➕ Controllability
➕ Design
➕ Comfortable salon

The advantages and disadvantages of the Mazda 6 2018-2019 in the new body were identified based on reviews from real owners. More detailed pros and cons of the Mazda 6 2.0 and 2.5 can be found in the stories below:

Owner reviews

Good dynamics and climate control, spacious salon. But very noisy and hard suspension, poor sound insulation of the interior.

Intuitive controls, you have to deal with each button separately. Radio tape recorder (GU) - does not turn off at all! No way! You can turn off the sound and image, but playback continues!

Flash drives with car navigation for 1.5 million rubles. did not have. The car dealership offered to buy it for 22 thousand (only a flash drive with a Navitel card)! For this money you can buy a good tablet with 4 types of pre-installed navigation!

Video review

The car is very beautiful in shape, and in this generation of Mazda 6 the optics also look very stylish and expensive. The interior is beautiful and comfortable, really business class. The leather is good, the brown leather trim of the interior elements is very solid and looks nice. The stitching is not the neatest, but also beautiful.

The car handles great! 4 adults fit comfortably in the car; the rear passengers have enough space both above their heads and in their legs. Also, if necessary, you can try to fit fairly large items into the cabin and trunk.

Assembly. It's just some kind of quiet horror. Yes, all the interior parts are in place and are not falling off. But backlashes! Noise insulation. Despite the fact that the salon managers praised the improved sound insulation and showed noise under the hood (it really is there), in reality, when driving above 90 km/h, you can simply hear a wild noise from under the arches + somewhere after 110 km/h starts to blow from somewhere under the driver's door window.

Dynamics. Despite the fact that the gearbox works quite nicely, and in Sport mode you can give it some heat, the car has a VERY dull gas pedal, sometimes it takes 2 seconds to think about whether to go or not to go. If I need to step on the gas sharply and change lanes, I always press the pedal a little in advance.

Gleb Gorokhov, drives a Mazda 6 2.0 (150 hp) AT 2015

The new Mazda 6 drives great. It accelerates very well (the gearbox works clearly and correctly), and it is better with the stabilization systems turned on. The ground clearance is sufficient (I installed metal protection as an extra, but now I think that I could have left plastic).

The glass is delicate (replaced in the first month under CASCO insurance). There’s not much noise at all, but it’s not particularly annoying. The trunk is indeed inconvenient, but quite roomy. The fabric on the seat is very delicate and easily soiled (everything sticks to it). I bought leatherette covers (eco-leather) on Dubrovka, which were also not very good (the smell from them especially in summer). The driver's door seal has already worn out. For some reason, the compartment for small items on the left under the tidy began to close poorly recently.

Expensive CASCO was in the first year (due to the loan). Well, of course, the service from the officials is completely manual (everything needs to be checked by them).

The owner drives a 2014 Mazda 6 2.5 (192 hp) AT sedan.

Where can I buy?

I ride and am happy, the first impression is excellent. Consumption on the highway is below 8 liters, city 8.5 on average. The only marriage is the back of one of the rear seats It doesn’t reach the lock and doesn’t latch, when I have time I’ll come and fix it under warranty.

Total this car— for city dwellers, due to the specificity of the suspension settings and the shape of the trunk, lovers of dachas and villages should definitely look away from the Mazda 6 — there are completely different cars for that.

But for trips around the city, intercity, it’s excellent, the seats are comfortable, you don’t get tired after driving for a long time, and there’s more than enough space in the cabin.

The owner drives a Mazda 6 2.0 (150 hp) AT 2015.

Before that, I also drove a Mazda 6, but 2013 and Japanese assembly. The new product completely disappointed me. The only advantages that can be noted are the design and electronic parking brake(the main progress in 7 years). But there are more disadvantages...

Firstly, it’s not just cheap, it’s some kind of cheapness (the car maximum configuration). Wherever you can and cannot save, save. Leatherette is the cheapest, plastic gets scratched if a fly runs over it. Only the steering wheel is made of genuine leather, and metal as decoration is left only on the steering wheel, and even then its amount is reduced to a state of symbolism.

Secondly, the build quality. Even with large-scale assembly in Vladivostok, you can feel that it was touched by the people making the UAZ. It takes significant effort to slam the doors and trunk. I'm looking forward to the squeak of the rear parcel shelf.

Thirdly, paintwork and Shumka wheel arches just like the previous Mazda 6. It makes the right noise, and any spitting on the body will result in a scratch.

Review of Mazda 6 2.0 (150 hp) AT 2018

And now my impression of the car. In short, everything is great, I’m very pleased! The first 1,000 km I drove smoothly, without sudden acceleration. When I finally walked 1,000 km, then I saw what Mazda was capable of.

The dynamics of acceleration are pleasing; I accelerated to hundreds in 8.2 seconds. I boldly go out to overtake. The car picks up speed imperceptibly, you look, and the speedometer instead of 90 km/h is already 140 km/h.

My consumption of 95 gasoline in the city is 11-12 liters per hundred. And this with sharp accelerations! On the highway, if you drive smoothly at 90-100 km/h, then you’ll get 6 liters per 100 km; if you drive at 130 km/h, you’ll get 7 liters. In sharp acceleration mode and at a speed of 220 km/h - about 8.5 liters per 100 km. I think this is a very decent consumption for 192 horsepower.

The design of the car makes me very, very happy; both passers-by and drivers pay attention to it. I always sit in it with pleasure and look forward to meeting her again! Even my wife started to get a little jealous of her!

Of the minor disadvantages of the Mazda 6, I can only name the poor sound insulation of the wheel arches. You can hear the wheels making noise in the cabin, and I'm afraid to imagine what will happen when I install studded tires.

Maybe I’m not used to it yet, but the car is very large, and the turning radius is large. Due to the side pillars, visibility to the sides is insufficient, there is a lot dead zones.

Review of Mazda 6 2017 2.5 (192 hp) with automatic transmission and front-wheel drive

The sixth Mazda has been sold on our market since 2003. It has never been particularly expensive, especially when compared to competitors in the segment. Therefore, it has become popular and in demand among consumers. Although the corporation's engineers do not think about the names of their models and write numbers after the brand, this does not affect the driving performance of the car.

In appearance, it is worth noting excellent clear lines, good design and bright colors. Specifications also beyond praise, as well as the highest passive safety rating.

If you are interested this car, then you just need to find out where Mazda 6 is assembled for Russia.

Where Mazda 6 is assembled for our consumers

The Japanese corporation has opened factories all over the world. The four largest are in Japan. This is about:

  • Ujima plant in Hiroshima. Previously, it was the only production facility in the country, but then another one was opened in 1982;
  • the second building at the Ujima plant. It is located in another area of the city;
  • Hofu. This production is the second largest in the world;
  • Miyoshi. They don't make cars here, but they do make engines;

Also, the model is assembled in Thailand, America, China, Vietnam, Taiwan and Mexico. Well, and of course, in Russia. For our country, the car is produced at a joint plant of the Japanese and Russians. It is located in Vladivostok.

Mazda 6 is the company's best-selling car. It has a stylish and soulful design. Its image represents the progenitor of all other machines of the company. Some cars are made here, while others are supplied from Japan. Unfortunately, there are few of the latter left. Since 2013, our model has gradually replaced the thoroughbred car.

Before 2012 you could get to japanese car more often. And you can still find it on the secondary market.

Mazda 6 configurations

The debut of the Russian-assembled Mazda 6 was the Active package. She got gasoline engine with a volume of 2.5 liters and a power of 192 horsepower. The model has front-wheel drive, and the transmission has become automatic. You will also receive climate control and systems active safety. The car will cost from 925,000 rubles. Total investments in production amounted to 10 billion rubles.

There were also two versions produced here, which were not produced this year. Therefore, we will not mention them.

Disadvantages of Mazda 6 of our assembly

IN 2013 year Mazda 6 began to be assembled in Russia. Large-scale assembly has been established in Vladivostok. This year, engineers planned to begin production according to full cycle. But, due to the economic situation, this decision has been suspended for now. Although, Japanese manufacturers have already brought full-cycle equipment to the plant.

The car's ground clearance was not increased for our roads. Although, it would be worth it. After all, our employees know what the car will be driving on. Another disadvantage worth noting is poor sound insulation. Any hole is felt in the cabin. Buyers have very unflattering comments about the car's coating. In autumn or winter season they worry about possible rust. Also, the paint is very soft. It causes scratches on the body.

The comfort of the driver and passengers is influenced by finishing materials. Cheap plastic is quite hard. But, even after quite a long period of use, it will not begin to creak. Yes, to be honest, the point here is not in our assembly, but in the components.

The body of the Russian-assembled Mazda 6 is made on our robotic conveyor. The metal turns out too thin. The interior and chassis are imported, oddly enough, from China. Here it is Russian production. Therefore, it’s up to you to decide whether it’s worth buying a Japanese model of our assembly.

Characteristics of Mazda 6 for the Russian market

The exterior of the car was not touched. Only the radiator grille has changed, fog lights and head optics. “Smart headlights” have appeared. They turn off LEDs that could blind oncoming drivers. But they are only available in expensive configurations. Among the new programs, it is worth noting lane monitoring, blind spot detection and automatic braking.

Our engineers decided to rely not only on young drivers, but also on the older contingent. Therefore, they created a car more respectable than its predecessor.

Inside, the model now has a seven-inch display and a new multimedia system. Audio is played from both the phone and the receiver. There is support for any gadget.

The car has sport mode ride. The transmission now only runs in a straight line. They look better and scroll easier. By the way, the instrument panel was left small. But, it does not spoil the overall picture. We don't know if this affected the smoothness of the ride, but it has improved significantly. The car copes with cracks and potholes on the roads effortlessly. It does not wobble or produce any vibrations. That is, the cabin is quiet and comfortable even at high speed.

The center console is trimmed in leather with wood inserts. The seats in the cabin are exactly the same. Therefore, the model has become richer and more solid. Another thing worth noting head-up display and a curtain on the rear window.

Mazda 6 is equipped with a start/stop system. It automatically turns off the engine when stopped. This saves fuel significantly.

Driving a car is pleasant and comfortable. Its handling is simply beyond praise. Therefore, if you are not afraid of the Russian assembly, then pay attention to this model. Otherwise, we also recommend it to you, only made in Japan. It will cost you a little more, and you will have to wait longer for your order, but you will be confident in the quality and reliability.
