Owner reviews

The salon has no comments at all - it’s perfect, the monitor doesn’t bother me at all, I’d say it’s especially distinguishing feature“trick”, you get into the car and forget about all your problems. Anyone who is confused by eco-leather has apparently never had anything to do with it!

But as for the controllability itself new C-Class W205, then after Toyota I was in ecstasy, the angle of rotation, the turn, there are no words! Perfect! Brakes, acceleration dynamics, despite the small volume of 1.6 and 156 hp, with a turbo engine, Sport and Sport+ modes for the city are excellent, starts quickly, drives smoothly, handles the road excellently, on the highway in Sport mode it is a pleasure, despite suspension and large wheels. The car is not harsh for me, I experience genuine joy and pleasure from driving.

Video review

The price/functionality ratio is very favorable; after I figured out all the settings and functions, I can safely say that this brand is head and shoulders above any other competitor.

Controllability and maneuverability, especially in cramped conditions, are simply magical, despite rear wheel drive In challenging road conditions, it instills more confidence than many front-wheel drive competitors in this class.

The only design flaw in the new C-class can be identified as the low heat generation of the engine, which at outside temperatures below minus 25-30 degrees Celsius leads to the need for serious insulation of both the engine and the engine compartment.

Pavel Rashchupkin, review of Mercedes C-Class 1.6 (156 hp) AT 2013

Excellent design, many convenient functions, especially the ECO mode, when there is little fuel, and the nearest gas station is not close or in a traffic jam - generally super. Excellent turning radius, due not only to turning, but also to the tilt of the wheels. And there are many convenient functions as standard (small ones, you won’t remember them all at once).

If you get service from the officials, it’s somehow very expensive and I’m not sure it’s of very high quality. Not the best sound insulation. Not the best handling. There is not enough space in the cabin, the car is not for large people.

Review of Mercedes-Benz C180 1.6 (156 hp) automatic, 2013 model year.

I really like the design of modern “tseshki”, they are like a classic suit that will never go out of style. And everything is great inside. Beige leather, natural wood - stylish, but without unnecessary pathos. Mercedes knows a lot about this. In terms of equipment, everything is very good, 2.1 million were not given in vain. I really like multimedia with a touchpad, I haven’t used such a feature before, but it turned out to be convenient. The menu is clear, the resolution is at the level.

The C 250 drives even better than the 211 “horses”; there is enough power reserve everywhere. The operating modes of the engine and chassis can be changed, and you can really feel it. At “comfort” the car becomes soft and slight rolls appear. IN sports modes It's great to take turns. The computer makes sure that I don’t ram anyone. He saved me once when I didn’t react to a ride in the city. The car slowed down on its own, and only then did I understand what had happened... or rather, what hadn’t happened.

There are few fly in the ointment in this barrel of ointment yet, I haven’t even driven tens of thousands yet. In winter, the keyless entry was slow and did not unlock the door the first time. True, this only happened a couple of times, and with the onset of warmer weather the problem went away; the service did not find any damage. The rear view mirrors are too small, it’s good that there is a camera in stock. I don’t like the standard runflat tires, they are noisy and oaky, I will change them. Overall, I’m happy with the car; it’s nice when a dream turns out exactly as expected.

Sergey, review of Mercedes C-Class W205 2.0 (211 hp) AT 2014

The disadvantage of the “Special Series” is a modest and not optimal set of options, although necessary living wage present: dual-zone climate control, full power accessories, heated front seats, parking sensors front and rear. I quickly got used to the automatic transmission selector located on the steering column. Screen multimedia system It looks like an alien element of the interior, but we must admit that it is very convenient to use.

At the same time, in this configuration you cannot even order heated steering wheel and windshield as an option. Even budget Hyundai Solaris better equipped, not to mention business class cars.

It is clear that a lot has been saved here. For example, the driver’s seat has longitudinal adjustment mechanically, and up and down adjustment – electrically. Passengers in the back row are not spoiled for comfort; there is not even a center armrest, not to mention any adjustments or heating.

But the C-Class drives, as befits a thoroughbred Mercedes-Benz. Even despite the modest 2-liter engine and four-wheel drive, the dynamics are not bad. The suspension is a little harsh, but the handling is very good.

Noise insulation is mediocre, you can hear noise from the tires and from the engine when it is running at full speed. high speed. It is felt that when designing the car they fought for weight, the car weighs only 1.5 tons, so the dynamics are not bad even with weak motors, and fuel consumption is moderate.

On the highway 8-9 liters, in the city about 11 per 100 km. But in pursuit of weight loss, in addition to equipment, they saved a lot here. On this car absent spare wheel, there is not even provision for re-rolling and it is very small fuel tank, its volume is only 41 liters.

Review of Mercedes C-Class 2.0 (184 hp) 4Matic 2015

On Russian market the car was offered in two trim levels: “Special Edition” and Sport AMG Line. The manufacturer offers an impressive range of equipment, including a touch display (7 or 8.4 inches diagonal) with voice control, gestures and handwriting function, as well as a projector on windshield key displays such as current speed, speed limits, navigation tips and other messages. It is interesting to note the air conditioning system: based on navigation data, it automatically closes the air intake damper while the car is driving through the tunnel. An optional fragrance and air ionizer are available. Options also include a Burmester audio system, a 360-degree video system, leather interior, keyless entry, panoramic roof and so on.

The base engine was a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine (C180) M 274 DE 16 with 156 hp. With it, the sedan is able to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 8.5 seconds. On the Russian market, the line of modernized petrol turbo-fours of the M 274 series is also represented by the C 200 4MATIC (2.0 l, 184 hp) and C 250 (2.0 l, 211 hp) models, their acceleration performance is 0 -100 km/h - 7.6 and 6.6 seconds. In October 2014, Mercedes-Benz presented the new C 63 AMG and C 63 S AMG, equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine of the M177 series with an output of 476 and 510 “horses” - according to the indicators, they are capable of sprinting up to “hundreds” in 4.2 and 4.1 seconds. Looks pretty frisky and more budget option all-wheel drive sports sedan C 43 AMG 4MATIC - 4.7 sec. The company has also prepared hybrid modifications. In the C 300 BlueTEC HYBRID model, the 204 hp diesel engine is paired with an electric motor producing 27 hp. This tandem will reduce the declared fuel consumption to 3.9 liters per 100 km. Drive is traditionally to the rear wheels. The C 350 E Plug-In Hybrid model (petrol 211-horsepower turbo engine and 80-horsepower electric motor) is distinguished by the ability to recharge from a household electrical outlet, and gasoline consumption is stated at 2.4 l/100 km. Tank volume - 41 or 66 liters.

Chassis Mercedes-Benz C-Class The W205 carries a new 4-link front suspension and an optimized 5-link setup at the rear. Buyers have the opportunity to choose a suspension: except standard version available sports version lowered by 15 mm ground clearance and more stringent settings, as well as Airmatic air suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers with five modes (Comfort, Eco, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual) and an adaptive algorithm with automatic selection of operating modes. The flagship AMG C63 model includes the AMG Ride Contol sports suspension, a mechanically locking rear differential, and the AMG Dynamic Select system. With the change of generations C-Class sedan became 9.5 cm longer than its predecessor (its length is 4686 mm), and the wheelbase increased from 2760 to 2840 mm. The width and height of the body are 1810 and 1442 mm (previous figures were 1770 x 1447 mm). The minimum turning radius has increased slightly - from 5.4 to 5.6 m. The trunk has increased by 30 liters and now its volume is 480 l (the C 350 e model is noticeably more modest - 335 l).

The C-Class W205 received numerous electronic systems driving assistance components that make up the complex called Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive. A set of sensors allows you to detect cars in blind spots, pedestrians, markings and road signs, giving, if necessary, a signal to emergency braking. A special Attention Assist system can detect driver fatigue, and the Stop&Go Pilot system will allow you to drive on “autopilot” in city traffic jams at speeds of up to 60 km/h. The car can be equipped with dynamic headlights with LED Intelligent Light System. Nine airbags are responsible for the lives of the driver and passengers. C-Class W205 received very high marks in crash tests.

IN new Mercedes-Benz The C-Class W205 deserves attention with a wide list of safety equipment, numerous modern technologies, impressive design and comfort comparable to models more high class. At the same time, the owners note some weak points C-Class in the 205th body: more demanding and maintenance-demanding engines, rigid chassis (especially on standard tires runflat), lack of a spare tire/rest, small standard tank.

Those who have Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204, or have driven this car at least once, you will notice that it is quite suitable for not very good roads. Externally, this is a relatively simple car, if you compare it again with the BMW 330i (although how can you compare, for example, a formal business suit and a tracksuit). Many motorists complain that you can’t really relax in this BMW, but in the rather simple Mercedes W204 sedan you can relax both body and soul, because the ride in it is very comfortable. And if you also take into account that the car is half the price of a BMW, then the owner’s joy knows no bounds.

Review of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205

As for the new car of this class, the W205 series, in this case the manufacturer has slightly reduced its dimensions. Of course, the brand did not stray from the style of the flagship S-Class. It should be noted that the image of the sedan is more balanced, and the corner lights look much better.

Video about external differences between "Mercedes tseshki" in Luxury and Avantgarde / AMG-line versions:

The new BlueTEC Hybrid, featured in the video, will launch in September 2014.

The new product is equipped with adaptive cruise control and video surveillance via built-in video cameras. At low speeds, the driver can completely relax and let go of the steering wheel, without having to press on the gas. But he still won’t be able to fall asleep behind the wheel, otherwise there is a chance of being woken up by the sound of a signal at a traffic light, since after a complete stop without the driver’s control, the car will not move. Well, of course, it’s also not a good idea to not look at the road at all while driving in cruise control mode, because there is a sharp narrowing of the route and complex markings. Electronics, no matter how smart they are, should not be trusted one hundred percent. Still, one head is good, but two are better.

You still can’t count on the softness and comfort of the new W205 “tseshka”, since “drive” is its strong point. The engineers themselves working on the release of this new C-class product speak of it as a driver’s model. The following can be said about the comfort of passengers in the cabin: “Driving in such a car is identical to driving in a car with conventional spring suspensions.” The developers equipped this Mercedes with a single air suspension, the purpose of which is to provide the sedan with more sporty characteristics.

The appearance of the Mercedes-Benz C250 attracts individual original parts, but the overall image lacks integrity. There is even less space inside the car. If you look at the raised window sill, you will get the illusion of a deep landing. However, the massive central tunnel will not allow the driver to sit comfortably in the seat, as he will rest his knees on the tunnel. At the same time, the driver or passenger will involuntarily slam the door hard, since they are not yet accustomed to the fact that it is very light. Let us immediately note that the Germans did not forget about Russian roads, and specially for this country they produce “tseshki” with a raised ground clearance.

Compared to the previous model, this sedan is less comfortable. The air suspension, for which you can pay extra, does not particularly affect the smooth ride. Of course, there will be less pumping, but on uneven surfaces it will shock you even more. I would like to see much greater results from “pneumo”.

If your car doesn’t have air suspension, because you didn’t pay extra for it, you shouldn’t despair. This car will find something to please you with, since he still has many trump cards in his arsenal. If the ride is softer in the Mercedes W204, then otherwise the new driving car is superior to its predecessor in literally everything.

Mercedes-Benz W205 interior

The first thing I want to talk about is the salon. Its rich, literally inner world visible to the naked eye. The Germans were extremely sophisticated in interior finishing materials. The change in configurations is also striking. If previously three lines were used: Elegance, Classic and Avantgarde, now the new product has Avantgarde with a star and Luxury with a branded classic grille and a “sight” on the hood. As for the basic version, it became nameless.

The seats have become better shaped, with the driver's seat lowering. You can pump up a special hard roller under your lower back. And although the car has quite developed lateral support, the main load still falls on the upper back. The transmission selector was moved to the steering column, but the Command system controller remained on the central tunnel. The electromechanical brake replaced the foot parking brake. Passengers on back seat can ensure their comfort using their own climate control.

And of course, it is worth noting that otherworldly sounds are practically not heard inside the cabin when the windows are closed. If a car moves on a road with perfect surface, passengers may have the illusion of flying. Therefore, the Mercedes W205 can be considered the quietest car in this class.

Test drive of the new "tseshka"

Having driven a Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 series from 2014, you realize that the car is so controllable that you stop paying attention to its rigidity. “Tseshka” reacts so quickly to the steering wheel, although, in fairness, I must add that the electric power steering could be better. The Mercedes drives reliably, safely and easily, even when entering a turn at high speed, the car glides smoothly without much resistance, shifting the whole body to a wider radius. At high speeds, the “205” remains obedient and confident, which of course cannot help but please. And if we add to this the silence in the cabin, then we can safely say that this model is superior to the previous Mercedes model. Especially for Russia, the Germans will release a version of the C 180 with a reinforced turbo engine. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to drive this particular car, since it was not on the test drive. The 2.1 turbodiesel four contains a small-displacement Mercedes engine. Such cars will come to the Russian Federation later, but it is worth mentioning now. So the diesel C 250 CDI worked well with the 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission. This car already has air suspension, and accordingly the Agility Select system, which improves communication with the accelerator, although it somewhat spoils the smooth ride.

But the petrol version of the C 250 made the best impression on us. Let us immediately note that in Russia you will have to pay an additional 150 thousand rubles for it. However, it's worth it. Although this sedan is not the most powerful and expensive, it is the most balanced car in the C-class. The new chassis is faster than the previous version. It is paired with a V6 engine or a V8 turbo engine.

It’s just a pity that the most powerful version of the car, the Mercedes-Benz C 300, has not yet arrived on our market.

At the same time, the owners also note some weak points of the C-Class in the 205 body: more demanding and maintenance-demanding engines, a hard chassis (especially on standard runflat tires), lack of a spare tire/rest, and a small standard tank.

The latest generation of Mercedes-Benz C-Class in the new W205 body was presented in 2014 at the Detroit Auto Show. The sedan tried on a new corporate design, first tested on the flagship.

Exterior

The appearance of the new Mercedes C-Class 2017-2018 resembles a smaller version of the flagship. The sedan has a modern, less angular design compared to its predecessor. Clear, flowing lines easily flow from one surface to another, forming an elegant body that loudly declares its premium quality.

The front part of the new C-Class W205 model is characterized by a large trapezoidal chrome radiator grille with one central vertical fin and several horizontal ones.

At the edges of the grille there are aggressive “double-pupil frowning eyes” headlights, with a dividing “eyebrow” strip of LED DRLs. Below in the center there is another narrow radiator grille, most of which is covered by the license plate, and at the edges of it behind the “mustache” (the bumper relief creates this effect) there are quite large air intakes.

The profile, due to its significantly smaller dimensions, resembles its older brother only in body shape, and the compactness new Mercedes The 2017 C-Class immediately catches your eye due to its short trunk (which looks more impressive from some angles) and relatively long hood.

The wheels look a little large, although the beautiful design of the wheels smooths out this drawback. The spoiler-shaped duck tail gives the tseshka a sporty, elegant style.

The rear of the sedan looks harmonious. Well proportioned rear lights, made in the traditional Mercedes style, compared to the size of the rest of the rear. They are in harmony with the narrowed bottom shape of the trunk lid with a relief reminiscent of a spoiler. A set of chrome strips confirms the premium status of the car.

Interior

Compared to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class in the W204 body, the new W205 received a luxurious interior, many of the solutions in which were borrowed from the S-Class. It all looks premium and rich. The manufacturer paid attention to the smallest details - you want to touch, stroke, press, twist and even just admire it all.

The driver has at his disposal a nice, plump leather multi-steering wheel with three spokes and a scattering of buttons on the left and right spokes, as well as metal decor on the bottom. The instrument cluster has changed - instead of a large central speedometer, there is a modern traditional layout with two analogue wells on the sides (speedometer and tachometer) and a digital screen in the center.

Thanks to the use of steering-wheel-mounted transmission shift paddles, instead of the traditional lever on the center console, almost all of the space of the latter was given over to the controls of the multimedia system.

It is present here in the form of an “anomalous” screen rising above the console. This display, combined with three aerospace-design air vents, creates the effect of a spaceship control panel. Jokes aside, in fact, it is a very high-quality and beautiful multimedia system, perhaps the best on the market at the moment.

Sit in the front in the new one Mercedes C-Class 2017-2018 convenient and comfortable. If the driver suddenly develops a thirst for sporty driving, the front seats will support him in this, including from the side, and quite well. Although, there are some nuances in the design of the chairs, and they may not be to everyone’s taste.

But from behind, despite high status car and impressive wheelbase, not very spacious. Large passengers will most likely be uncomfortable there; the situation is aggravated by the hardness of the backs of the front seats, into which the knees of these “sufferers” will rest.

Characteristics

The new Mercedes C-Class 2017-2018 model is based on modular platform MRA, thanks to which (as well as aluminum), the sedan lost approximately 100 kg.

True, the “tseshka” has a soft ride, as for a model wearing radiator grille logo with a three-pointed star, not ideal. Perhaps the predecessor was even better in this regard. The manufacturer characterizes this as a “driver-oriented model”, and hard suspension consequence of a sporting nature.

The new Mercedes C-Class W205 2017 is designed for a maximum of five people and has the following dimensions: length 4,686 mm, width - 1,810 mm, height - 1,442 mm, and wheelbase size - 2,840 mm. Curb weight depends on the engine and ranges from 1,395 to 1,730 kg. Volume luggage compartment- 480 liters.

The car is equipped with independent spring suspension: front - double wishbone, rear - multi-link. There are disc brakes on both axles, but the front ones are ventilated. Wheels ranging from 205/60 R16.

Power range Russian version sedans include three gasoline engines, two diesel engines and a hybrid system (except for “charged” AMG versions).

Gasoline: volume 1.6 liters, power 156 hp. and 250 Nm of torque; 2.0 liters 184 hp and 300 Nm; 2.0 liters 211 hp and 350 Nm. Diesel: 2.1 liter 204 hp. and 500 Nm; 2.1 liters 231 hp and 500 Nm. As well as a hybrid installation, including a 211-horsepower gasoline engine and an 82-horsepower electric motor.

All engines are paired exclusively with a 7-speed automatic transmission, except for the basic one - for it, in addition to the automatic, a 6-speed manual is available.

Price in Russia

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 sedan is sold in Russia in three trim levels: Premium, Sport and OS (Special Series). The price of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class in a new body varies from 2,450,000 to 6,160,000 rubles.
