About 6 months ago I bought a Kia Sorento. When choosing, I had a goal to pick up a moderate unkilled SUV worth up to 600 thousand. I considered several options: Sorento, Suzuki Vitara, Rav 4 and others (I don’t really remember).

As a result, he finally settled on the Sorento 1 generation. Took in the configuration of the engine 3.3, 248 horses, four-wheel drive. On indicators, the mileage was 140 thousand km.

After six months of use, I can highlight the following advantages of the model:

• Roomy, large, masculine;
• Good cross-country ability, you don’t have to think too much about where you are going - pits, curbs ... it doesn’t matter;
• Excellent dynamics - accelerates like a bullet;
• The salon is large;
• Good acoustic system;
• Holds noises;
• Ergonomic;
• A large driver's seat (with my height of 194 centimeters I fit without problems, although in some SUVs there is a small tunnel between the seats, which makes the seats have little space).

Flaws:

• Poor maneuverability;
• Softness, sometimes you can fall asleep;

I rode the Sorento in a '98 Nissan Presage for about 6 years. Before that was Subaru Legacy. I will say one thing, these cars did not know the competition in their class. All my time, had to fly new transport. Family chose Kia Sorento (I wanted more passable car, gno money and quality decide).

I will say right away that my wife did not like to ride Soneto. Why? Let me explain in order:

• Visibility is weak.
• Large steering wheel, the car is too inert and massive (it is strongly felt on the roads when all-wheel drive is on). The rear seems to be trying to get around the front (probably it's a poorly distributed torque, or axle overload). This condition is difficult to control with a large steering wheel.
• During parking, if there is no driver, and the car is running, it constantly screams that it is not fastened.
• The seat doesn't warm up until you sit on it.

I needed new SUV, for the old Mitsubishi Outlander (automatic and 160 Horse power, consumption of 16 liters in the city) I sold. Didn't do any of that, just rode like that. Then a noise in the engine began to be heard, oil was leaking. With difficulty dismantled, the dual-mass flywheel broke. It is very expensive (then about 20 thousand, now 35).
