Review of summer tires nexen n blue xd plus. Nexen Nblue HD Plus Tires High Speed Stability

The warm season is steadily approaching, which means it's time to prepare for the upcoming planned replacement of automobile "rubber". If your old tires are worn out, it's time to get acquainted with the test results of summer tires of the 2016-2017 season.

Authoritative European publications every year conduct comparative tests of the current models of the most popular tire brands. AutoDela tried to collect all the information together and provide a generalized rating summer tires from different manufacturers. The main factor that we took into account when compiling the list of models was the testing of rubber by at least two different expert communities. Below is a little about each of the expert instances.

ACE/ARBO

The Automobile Club of Europe (ACE) together with representatives of the Austrian Automobile Club ARBÖ tested low-cost summer tires in the size 195/65 R15. Such wheels are often used on golf-class cars (actually Volkswagen Golf, Renault Megane, Ford Focus). The competition for the title of the best budget tire was held at the North German training ground in Papenburg. For testing, a Volkswagen Golf VII 1.4 TSI was used, which was accelerated to 100 km / h to measure the braking distance on dry and abundantly wetted (to puddles) asphalt. Then the car passed "slalom" to determine the stability when maneuvering. In addition, the stand measured the "free coast" - the distance that the car is able to overcome by coasting, which characterizes the resistance of the wheels to rolling and affects fuel economy.

autonavigator

The Hungarian magazine Autonavigator, in its test of 15-inch 195/65 tires, used a station wagon Ford Focus II. The tests were largely similar to ACE / ARBO, except that the braking distance was measured three times: from a speed of 120, 100 and 60 km / h.

The All-German Automotive has tested a slightly narrower tire (185/65 R15), which is also suitable for B-class cars ( Hyundai Solaris, Renault Logan), as well as "executive" tires with a dimension of 225/45 R17 for the business class (Toyota Camry, Ford Modeo, etc.). In the first case, a Renault Clio was used, in the second, a reference representative of mid-size cars, a Volkswagen Golf VII.

Auto Zeitung/GTU

Another test of 17-inch tires was carried out by the German magazine Auto Zeitung in cooperation with the German GTU. They chose as a test bench bmw car 1 series. The tests in all cases were approximately similar to the first two options, so we will not go into a more detailed description.

AutoBuild

Like the ADAC club, their compatriots from AutoBild conducted two tests, which are also very unusual for our latitudes. They tested large mid-size tires as well as crossover summer tires. Of course, the testing methodology differed for each type of summer tire. In the first case, these were exclusively asphalt disciplines, in the second, an assessment of patency on the ground, in mud and grass was also added. At the same time, due to the specifics of the test and the absence of tires of the same name in the tests of other publications, we will not consider each participant in detail. We only note that in the tests of crossover tires, the experts were happy for each model, stating that none of the participants showed depressing results, but in the case of UHP (UltraHighPerfomance) class sports tires, the results varied greatly. In the AutoBild test, the best crossover tires were the Continental SportContact 5 SUV, the worst Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 SUV K117A, although they also showed good results. In the ranking of sports tires, the new Continental SportContact 6 was at the top, and the worst of all was the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT.

Vi Bilagare

The Swedish magazine Vi Bilagare this season analyzed the expensive tires of the first echelon. Although last year attention was paid to inexpensive summer tires of the second tier. Not surprisingly, in Europe, not only the automotive, but also the tire market is on the rise, which cannot be said about Russia. It is also unusual that this year's test was carried out by northern European specialists in America, at the Uvalde test site in Texas.

Cars Kazakhstan

While the Russian editorial office of the magazine "Automobiles" is ill because of the crisis, their colleagues from Kazakhstan forked out for a test of summer tires. However, against the background of European giants, it turned out to be thin - only four models. Although the selection itself turned out to be very relevant: Bridgestone Ecopia EP150, Hankook Kinergy Eco K425, Michelin Energy XM2, Nokian Hakka green 2.

The Grand of Russian automotive journalism - the newspaper "Autoreview" has traditionally conducted another test of summer tires. True, unlike the Swedish Vi Bilagare, Russian specialists, on the contrary, tried to collect relatively available tires, not forgetting, however, about the big names. The short list of Russian experts included the "green" Bridgestone Ecopia EP150, Cordiant Road Runner, Formula Energy, Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance, GT Radial Champiro Eco, Hankook Kinergy Eco K425, Headway HH301, Matador MP 44 Elite 3, Nokian Nordman SX, Nokian Hakka Green 2, Tigar Sigura. "People's" was the dimension of tires (185 / 65R15), and the carrier car, which was played by a red hyundai sedan solaris.

A little about how they test summer tires

Tire testing is a big research project, involving a lot of important factors. Polygon, measuring equipment, constant monitoring of the condition of tires (weight, tread depth, pressure, shore hardness, etc.). All this requires huge resources. At the same time, all this fuss is in order to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each tire. To do this, each set of tires is repeatedly immersed in the test environment, simulating various driving situations. Braking on dry and wet pavement, lap speed on dry and wet surfaces, evaluation of hydroplaning, noise level, ride and durability.

Barum Brillantis 2 - summer tires, test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

The Czech brand Barum promises that Brillantis 2 provides extended life and solid savings. In addition, the manufacturer says that this versatile model combines balanced performance and a clear response to steering, and additional benefits are increased mileage and minimal risk of aquaplaning.

TEST RESULTS

Oddly enough, but among the Asian outsiders of our rating, one European tire, Barum Brillantis 2, also wormed its way. Czech tires did not perform well both on dry and on wet pavement. And if Barum tires can still be rated “three plus” for handling, then even “three plus” seems to be a slightly overestimated indicator for the ability to brake. And if the rubber saves fuel... But no, and here the result for the Czechs is slightly below average. Summing up the tests, Barum Brillantis 2 comes up with one thought - the Czech Republic will not soon become the center of the tire industry.

The summary results of the Barum Brillantis 2 summer tire test: ACE/ARBO - 5th place out of 10, ADAC (R15) - 11th place out of 16, Autonavigator - 14th place out of 17.

Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

The Russian website of the tire company says that thanks to the latest technologies from Bridgestone, the Ecopia EP150 tire has reduced rolling resistance while offering excellent braking and wear resistance. According to the results of comparative tests, ECOPIA tires EP150 can reduce fuel consumption by 7.1%.

* Source: Japan Automobile Transport Technology Association

The aim of this development is to offer a sufficient level of safety with optimal energy performance.

To do this, Bridgestone has developed a new rubber compound called Nano Pro-Tech™. This technology is designed to reduce rolling resistance and hence carbon consumption and emissions.

Especially for this, the tire tread was developed, which consists of special blocks and strips, which improve grip and braking on wet surfaces.

TEST RESULTS

Ecotires from "Bridgestone" this season were tested by domestic experts from "Autoreview", as well as the Kazakhstani edition of the magazine "Automobiles". In both tests, the Japanese Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 eco-tire was among the last. In the newspaper "Autoreview" they were called the disappointment of the test. On wet pavement, their braking distance is eight meters longer than that of the test leader Hankook Kinergy Eco K425. And the rest of the parameters Ecopia EP150 did not perform well. Truly weak tires.

Summary results of the summer test Bridgestone tires Ecopia EP150: Cars Kazakhstan - 4th place out of 4, "Autoreview" newspaper 10th place out of 10.

Bridgestone Turanza T001 – summer tires, test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

The description for the Bridgestone Turanza T001 says it's a perfectly balanced premium tire recommended by major European automakers. It has exceptional handling in both wet and dry conditions and provides a high level of comfort when driving at various speeds. Increased comfort and improved performance BRIDGESTONE Turanza T001 is especially noticeable when traveling long distances.

TEST RESULTS

Summer tire Bridgestone Turanza T001 turned out to be quite controversial. In the Autonavigator test, these tires took second place. The magazine justified such a high result with good tire performance in wet road conditions, low noise levels and high wear resistance (which was evaluated visually according to the test results). In dry conditions, the tires performed worse, scoring slightly above average. However, in the ADAC test, the result was almost the opposite: the Bridgestone Turanza T001 received the highest score for dry handling and safety, while poor grip on wet roads and poor hydroplaning resistance led to a final low score and 12th position in their ranking. Even more confusion in the quality indicators of rubber was introduced by the tests of the German Auto Zeitung, in which the Turanza T001 turned out to be a complete average, with a relatively poor result on wet surfaces and a little more intelligible behavior on dry pavement. Result: 7th place out of 14. It is difficult to say what is the reason for this ambiguity in the results - the unstable quality of the rubber itself is to blame, or different test conditions affected. However, it is worth noting that in the same situation, Continental, Goodyear and Pirelli tires took unambiguously high places.

Bridgestone Turanza T001 summer tire test summary results: ADAC (R15) - 12th place out of 16, Autonavigator - 2nd place out of 17, Auto Zeitung/GTU - 7th place out of 14, Vi Bilagare - 5th place out of 9.

Continental ContiSportContact 5/ Continental ContiSportContact 5 SUV – summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

Speaking of the Continental ContiSportContac 5, the manufacturer claims that this is a tire with high operational characteristics and outstanding handling. The novelty was developed using innovative rubber compound BlackChilli, which guarantees the highest possible transmission of braking forces and contributes to low rolling resistance in normal driving, is also characterized by its ability to adapt to different vibration frequencies of the tire. ContiSportContact 5 differs from the previous model in improved performance. Namely, the ContiSportContact 5 tires have a significantly shorter braking distance on both wet and dry roads, a 10% reduction in rolling resistance and a 13% increase in mileage.

TEST RESULTS

Continental ContiSportContact 5 in size 225/45 R17 tested ADAC, as well as the Auto Zeitung/GTU tandem. Both expert communities found the tire's excellent balance. The result of the uncompromising grip of the Continental ContiSportContact 5 tires is low fuel efficiency, resulting in serious rolling resistance. Also, the noise of rubber can be attributed to the disadvantages, but this factor is of little importance in cars with good sound insulation.

Continental ContiSportContact 5 summer tire test summary results: ADAC (R17) - 1 out of 16, AutoBild - 1 out of 7, Auto Zeitung/GTU - 1 out of 14.

Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 - summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

The Continental ContiPremiumContact5 is an excellent all-round tire that combines comfort and safety at the highest level. This is the flagship of the company's tire range, and therefore the manufacturer boasts of technology and high quality.

Continental ContiPremiumContact5 is a new premium tire for passenger cars ranging from compact models to full-size sedans. It has extremely short braking distances on dry and wet roads, low rolling resistance, excellent performance and comfortable handling.

The improved traction of the Continental Conti Premium Contact5 is achieved through the use of macroblocks, which provide a larger contact patch. 3D grooves help reduce stopping distances, while wide ribs on the inner and outer shoulder enhance wet grip.

The new geometry of the longitudinal grooves prevents hydroplaning even at high speeds. The flatter contour of the tire contributes to even wear and increased tire mileage, while the cross-shaped groove arrangement reduces noise.

The use of a solid rubber compound in the bead sidewall makes the Continental Conti Premium Contact5 stiffer and reduces flex, while the shoulder remains more flexible and helps reduce rolling resistance. Thus, the movement becomes more comfortable.

TEST RESULTS

Another model from the German tire manufacturer, the ContinentalConti Premium Contact5, also showed strong results. The first line - in the Swedish authority Vi Bilagare and the second in the ADAC fifteen-inch test. The tire showed perfect behavior on dry pavement. Accurate, adequate responses to fast lane, short braking distance. On wet surfaces - only a little worse. The main advantage is the same as in the case of ContiSportContact 5 - a good balance.

The summary results of the Continental Conti Premium Contact5 summer tire test: ADAC (R16) - 2nd place out of 16, Vi Bilagare - 1st place out of 9.

Dunlop Sport BlueResponse summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

The manufacturer says about his offspring: "DunlopSport BluResponse deserves the best handling epithets", despite the environmental overtones and corresponding fuel economy. The presence of polymers in the rubber compound allows you to quickly adapt to the road profile, significantly increasing the level of grip. Dunlop's slip threshold is higher; the speed of cornering on wet surfaces is frankly impressive and allows you to feel the rigidity of the shoulder area on the steering wheel.

At the product launch stage, the developers conducted various tests, including the union of independent experts TUV SUD Automotive. Then, according to the results of seven disciplines, Dunlop tires Sport BluResponse outperformed the competition on most key factors. The braking distance on wet surfaces is three meters shorter than the average tire of other manufacturers, and the grip coefficient is 3% higher than the average result of the test participants. These impressive benefits are complemented by the BA label from the European Attestation Board for exemplary rolling resistance, wet grip and acoustic comfort.

Dunlop Sport BluResponse has been present in the official European dealer network since the beginning of 2013.

TEST RESULTS

Dunlop tires could have been in third place in our overall ranking, but in ADAC tests and AutoZeitung used different names from this manufacturer (Sport BlueResponse and Sport Maxx RT2, respectively). As a consequence, there is no way to evaluate different views on the quality of each of these models. However, it is worth noting that both British tires performed positively, only slightly inferior to Goodyear in wet stability and surpassing it in dry grip.

Dunlop Sport BluResponse summer tire test summary results: ADAC (R15) - 3rd place out of 16, Vi Bilagare - 6th place out of 9.

Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance - summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

Goodyear's EfficientGrip Performance boasts Category A wet grip (A1 wet grip is the highest rating under the EU regulation) and shorter stopping distances.

ActiveBraking technology improves tire contact with the road surface, resulting in a shorter braking distance of up to two meters (8%) when driving on wet roads2 and by 3% when driving on dry roads3.

WearControl technology provides an optimal combination of wet grip and low rolling resistance for the life of the tire.

The new base component is based on FuelSaving technology, which reduces the tire's energy dissipation. An 18.4% reduction in rolling resistance means improved fuel efficiency and lower consumer costs.

TEST RESULTS

Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance has been tested by the Hungarian magazine Autonavigator (195/65 R15) and the German ADAC. Like the Continental ContiSportContact 5, these tires showed the shortest braking distance on both dry and wet surfaces. In addition, Goodyear showed excellent handling and braking performance on wet surfaces, as well as braking in dry weather. The results were not high in dry cornering, as well as in rolling resistance (which will be reflected in higher fuel consumption).

Thus, Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance proved to be a safe tire for confident driving in all road conditions. These tires are suitable for family people who value safety over agility at high speeds. This was not achieved by other models, more suitable either for one or for other conditions.

The summary results of the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance summer tire test: ADAC (R15) - 4th place out of 16, Vi Bilagare - 2nd place out of 9, Autonavigator - 1st place out of 17, Autoreview newspaper - 3rd place out of 10.

GT Radial Champiro - summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

The Chinese tire manufacturer did not hesitate to call the GT Radial Champiro premium. The accompanying materials say: "This premium directional studded tire with a new innovative design provides reliability even in extreme weather conditions." In addition, it is noted that the tire has excellent wear resistance, and optimally designed side grooves contribute to better removal of water and dirt from the contact patch. The new Silica compound improves handling on ice and traction on snow.

TEST RESULTS

The opinion has long been circulating on the net that "there will always be an Asian who will do it better." So, in our rating among outsiders, tires from Singapore (an island state in Southeast Asia) - GT Radial Champiro, especially distinguished themselves. If you omit the foul language, the verdict of the testers is: "This rubber will try to kill you."

But let's leave the jokes for later. GT Radial Champiro really surprised me with a combination of negative qualities. In three tests (versions of VP1, FE1 and HPY of different dimensions were tested), the Singaporean rubber demonstrated unequivocally disgusting grip on wet asphalt. And where Barum was allowed to perform some maneuvers, Champiro strove to break into an uncontrolled slide. Things were a little better on the dry sections of the test site. Worst of all was the modification of tires with the VP1 index. The Champiro FE1 that replaced it showed slightly more adequate results in dry tests. The 17-inch GT Radial Champiro HPY handles the road even better (as far as it was possible), but this is more the merit of a larger contact patch (tire width is 225 mm) than improvements in technology. In general, we can say that at the moment GT Radial tires are extremely poor in their main task of keeping the car on the road, and do not guarantee your safety.

Kumho tires were able to participate in all tests. This manufacturer was not included in the general code, because. different models were tested in the tests. However, it is worth noting that this Korean manufacturer (unlike Nexen and Hankook) has always been among the outsiders. Rigid tires, designed for hot dry Asian asphalt, performed poorly in central Europe, with its cool, wet spring (and even more so for the harsher Russian conditions).

The summary results of the GT Radial Champiro FE1 summer tire test: ADAC (R15) - 16th place out of 16, ACE/ARBO - 10th place out of 10, ADAC (R17) - 15th place out of 16.

Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 K117 – summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 (K117) is the flagship Ultra High Performance tire developed with DTM technology, one of the most popular body series in motorsport. The Hankook Ventus S1 evo² provides the best balance between wet and dry performance.

Hankook's Hankook Ventus S1 evo² combines the features of its proven predecessor model with the innovations built on Hankook's experience in the DTM series. The multi-radius projector technology in the Hankook Ventus S1 evo² provides excellent aquaplaning performance and optimum traction, resulting in improved vehicle control and safety at high speeds. Innovative DTM-inspired three-ply tread block design with "smart" outer rib blocks arranged in a "ladder" arrangement increases the tire's contact patch with the road as it wears.

The Hankook Ventus S1 evo² is manufactured using the latest generation of advanced rubber compounds with optimized atomic cross-linking to help improve wear and heat aging resistance. A completely new formula of polymer nano-components (styrene) is responsible for the tire's first-class wet performance and reduces rolling resistance.

Special multi-level recesses in the shoulder area of the tread create turbulent micro-flows of air during movement.

Cooling fins in the Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 K117 vent grooves also improve heat transfer during rolling. For a pleasant driving experience, the tire has received an aerodynamic sidewall design that further reduces tire noise and emphasizes its sporty look.

TEST RESULTS

In the races of 17-inch tires, the Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 K117 showed itself similarly to the younger model - best qualities at the lowest price, while overtaking even some of the more expensive brands. Of the obvious disadvantages, it is worth noting the relatively low grip on wet asphalt.

Based on the combination of qualities, Hankook tires still received a final rating of “good”, and can be recommended in cases where the purchase price is more important than the properties of rubber at high speeds.

Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 K117 summer tire test summary results: ADAC (R17) - 5th out of 16, AutoBild (UHP sports tyres) - 2nd out of 6, AutoBild (SUV tyres) - 7th out of 7, Auto Zeitung/GTU - 9th place out of 14.

Hankook Kinergy Eco K425 – summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

HANKOOK Tire has developed a state-of-the-art next-generation tire concept for passenger cars. The KINERGY ECO series combines HANKOOK's most advanced technologies in safety, performance, comfort and environmental compatibility. KINERGY is an abbreviation for Kinetic Energy or motion energy (from the Greek "kinesis", which means movement), and also refers to the energy that an object receives during movement. In addition, this is the force that should be expended to move an object from its place and set it in motion. With these new HANKOOK tires, it is significantly lower than conventional tires in this class. The ECO Index provides the user with a guide and is synonymous with Ecology (environmental protection) and Economy (economy), which indicates the environmentally friendly and economical (fuel saving) properties of the tire.

The new KINERGY ECO tires are an impressive achievement for HANKOOK Tire. The combination of the newest and hitherto unused materials in this segment, such as silicate nanoparticles, and advanced blending technologies allow KINERGY ECO tires to reduce rolling resistance by 12% compared to conventional tires. This energy saving translates into lower fuel consumption and thus lower CO2 emissions. At the same time, these all-terrain tires show excellent results in disciplines related to safety and wet braking. Compared to other tires in their class, they reduce braking distances by 8%.

"KINERGY ECO is the beginning new era", - says Jin-Wook Choi, executive vice president of HANKOOK Tire and head of the company's European division. "The values of our society have changed a lot in recent years. People think and act with the environment in mind and want improved fuel efficiency from tires without sacrificing driving safety and comfort. With KINERGY ECO we have managed to achieve this combination. Of course, our highest priority remains the safety of our customers. We don't compromise here!" The unbalanced, asymmetric profile is critical to the tire's performance.

The optimized pitch of the HANKOOK KINERGY ECO tread pattern not only improves the vehicle's handling, but also makes the tire's overall ride quality more comfortable and less noisy. Optimally positioned wide grooves around the entire circumference of the tire effectively prevent hydroplaning. Self-sharpening tread lug edges improve traction not only on wet but also on dry surfaces. Wide corner treads and a larger tire footprint increase traction and stability in corners and at high speeds on dry pavement.

Since 2008, HANKOOK has been following the philosophy of H-LOHAS (Hankook Lifestyle Oriented Health and Sustainability), which, in addition to continuously developing environmentally friendly products such as KINERGY ECO, also includes responsibility to society and the environment. Therefore, it is not surprising that the new HANKOOK Tire concept is designed to comply with the EU marking regulations for tires. Adopted by the European Commission for all 27 EU countries, the EU marking in the form of a directive is intended from November 2012 to add transparency to the European car tire market. This label will point car owners to low-noise, high-rolling resistance products and, at the same time, safe products with high wet grip.

TEST RESULTS

Among the budget models on the ACE / ARBO test, the Korean Hankook Kinergy Eco K425 became the leaders. They snatched such a place in the current test of the newspaper "Autoreview". In the overall standings with more expensive Hankook tires performed well. Perhaps the main advantage of Hankook tires, compared to the models mentioned above summer tires you can name the price. So, for example, in the rating of fifteen-inch tires, the Germans from ADAC placed the Kinergy Eco K425 immediately after the more expensive Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance. It is worth noting that the Korean tires showed the best level of safety and handling both on dry and wet roads, however, due to the longer (in both cases) braking distance, Hankook was rated slightly worse than the American opponent.

In the tests of Autonavigator, Korean tires took only 9th place. At the same time, all tires that the Germans rated better than the Kinergy Eco K425 are in the more expensive price segment, and the backlog of Hankook was relatively small. From positive qualities tires worth noting low rolling resistance, which improves fuel efficiency.

The summary results of the Hankook Kinergy Eco K425 summer tire test: ADAC (R15) - 5th place out of 16, ACE / ARBO - 2nd place out of 10, Autonavigator - 9th place out of 17, Automobiles Kazakhstan - 2nd place out of 4, Autoreview newspaper - 1 place out of 10.

Infinity Ecosis - summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

Infinity Ecosis tires are designed for operation in the warm season on the widest range of passenger transport- from compact city cars to mid-size crossovers and SUVs.

Infinity Ecosis tires stand out for their economy of use, increased handling, improved traction, efficient braking, reliable hydroplaning protection and long service life.

TEST RESULTS

Chinese rubber Infinity Ecosis cannot be called the cheapest in the segment, but it could not show particularly outstanding results. According to ADAC, the main disadvantage of this tire is its poor handling and low hydroplaning resistance in rainy conditions. At the same time, on a dry road, Infinity Ecosis also did not reveal positive sides. Of the advantages, one can only single out low noise and a low price, but otherwise the brainchild of the Chinese chemical industry still does not even reach the middle positions in the summer tire market.

The summary results of the Infinity Ecosis summer tire test: ADAC (R15) - 9th place out of 16, Autonavigator - 8th place out of 17.

Michelin Primacy 3 summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

The MICHELIN Primacy 3 tire is designed for a wide range medium and executive class. In comparison with the previous model, the novelty, according to the manufacturer, provides a higher level of safety, improved in three directions at once: on dry roads, on wet roads and when cornering. The improvements achieved in three aspects of safety at once are reflected in the name of the tire - Primacy 3. In addition to the unique grip properties, the tire is distinguished by the traditionally high Michelin performance in two more areas: mileage and fuel efficiency.

TEST RESULTS

Summer tires Michelin Primacy 3 are not new for a long time. Despite this, the tire of the French brand was tested by two expert communities - Auto Zeitung / GTU and Vi Bilagare. The results were not surprising: the test scores almost completely repeated the history of previous years. How many times Michelin lags behind other eminent rivals! The thing is that the trump card of their tires is a high degree of comfort and a long resource, and these indicators do not decisively affect the ratings. In the wet, the Michelin Primacy 3 is average. On dry surfaces, these tires slow down better. But the rolling resistance is the lowest in the Auto Zeitung / GTU test. But hydroplaning resistance is not the best.

The summary results of the Michelin Primacy 3 summer tire test: Auto Zeitung/GTU - 8th place out of 14, Vi Bilagare - 7th place out of 9.

Michelin Energy Saver + - summer tires, test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

The manufacturer claims that the use of the MICHELIN Energy Saver tire reduces braking distances, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Michelin Energy Saver tires are the fourth generation of "Energy" tires and are designed for use on different cars: urban, family, coupe and minivans. They have unique characteristics that ensure a high degree of safety and reduce costs during vehicle operation.

The company's experts note the following benefits of Michelin Energy Saver summer tires: increased safety, tire durability and reduced fuel consumption.

These characteristics were achieved through the use of the following innovative ideas.

Michelin Energy Saver tires have a reduced mass, which means they heat up more slowly when driving, and vice versa, faster and for a short period when braking. Use of a special rubber compound consisting mainly of silica. In the manufacture of tires, a silicon mixture is used and the presence of the usual component - soot is practically excluded (it is present in a minimum amount to give the tire a black color).

The advantage of Michelin Energy Saver over its other counterparts is that, while providing significant savings, it also improves driving safety by reducing braking distances on wet roads.

TEST RESULTS

In last year's Autonavigator tests, French tires outperformed Nokian in many ways, but according to ADAC, the results were worse. More specifically, the all-German motoring society had doubts about the stability of the Energy Saver + on wet surfaces, which ultimately contributed to the low rating. We can only say unequivocally that the tested Michelin model is not the best way summer tires (although far from the worst). Considering that the Energy Saver+ tires are significantly more expensive than the comparable Nokian and Kumho tires, our Michelin ranking is lower.

The summary results of the Michelin Energy Saver+ summer tire test: ADAC (R15) - 10th place out of 16, Autonavigator - 6th place out of 17.

Nexen N "Blue HD Plus - summer tires, test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

The manufacturer positions NEXEN N’Blue HD as a summer energy-saving tire for class B and C passenger cars with high wear resistance. This model was specially developed in Korea for the European market. When developing HD, the developers paid special attention to safety and dynamics. N'Blue also have excellent handling, very effective braking, which is especially important when cornering.

TEST RESULTS

But the results of Nexen were not so unambiguous. Nexen N "Blue HD Plus tires turned out to be perfectly adapted to dry asphalt, showing the best results in handling, safety and braking, however, these qualities act as a counterweight to wet road behavior. Due to poor results in rain conditions, as well as high noise, Nexen tires did not even make it into the top ten of the German ADAC rating, being on line 13. Thus, as in the case of Pirelli, we can recommend this model only for areas with low rainfall in the warm season (for example , Kazakhstan and the Caspian territories).

Summary results of the Nexen N "Blue HD Plus summer tire test: ADAC (R15) - 13th place out of 16, ACE / ARBO - 1st place out of 10.

Nokian Hakka Green 2 – summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

Nokian Hakka Green 2 is a summer tire for compact and mid-sized family cars offering unique safety for our roads. The tire effectively prevents aquaplaning, reduces fuel consumption and has a greater mileage.

The manufacturer also focuses on modern tire technologies: Vibration reduction, increased comfort level

The cushioning system on the sidewalls is called Silent Sidewall Technology. A special layer of rubber compound absorbs shocks and reduces the impact of road imperfections on the car, allowing you to reduce vibration levels. Silent Sidewall noise reduction technology is special zone on the sidewall of the tire, which dampens vibration and any sounds that come from the road surface through the tire treads. This reduces the noise level, making driving more stable and comfortable.

Effective hydroplaning prevention

A curved, ramp-like tread design in the inner shoulder of the tire directs and accelerates the flow of water from the longitudinal grooves to the transverse grooves. The excellent hydroplaning properties are maintained even as the tire wears out. To reduce the mobility of the tread blocks, there are optimized support supports between them. The mounts improve handling and provide comfortable noise levels and more even tread wear.

More reliability, safety, comfort and less fuel consumption

The combination of Intelligent Green Silica rubber compound, environmentally friendly pine and rapeseed oil, fine soot particles used in mining tires adapts to the road, temperature and driving style. The new tread compound remains stable over a wide range of temperatures and withstands the stresses of uneven, rough roads.

TEST RESULTS

Finnish Nokian tire Hakka Green 2 is still little known on the market. This is because it is a relatively new model of the brand. This season, this tire was noted in three tests at once. "Hakku Green" was tested by foreign experts Vi Bilagare, neighboring specialists from the magazine "Automobili" Kazakhstan, the newspaper "Autoreview" and the magazine "Za Rulem".

Interestingly, if in Kazakh and Russian tests the novelty from Nokian performed quite confidently, the Scandinavian testers put it in the penultimate place. In the test of the Autoreview newspaper, these are tires with the most miserable rolling resistance, but the main thing is that despite this they also showed the best braking distance on wet pavement in the Autoreview test. On dry surfaces, the behavior is half a notch worse. However, in general, this is a very balanced model.

In the test of the magazine "Behind the wheel" Nokian Hakka Green 2 took first place out of twelve possible. The experts noted the shortest braking distance, as well as the best speed and controllability during the rearrangement both on dry and wet pavement, the highest indicator of comfort, ride and economy.

The summary results of the Nokian Hakka Green 2 summer tire test are as follows: Avtomobili magazine - 1st place out of 4, Vi Bilagare - 3rd place out of 9, Autoreview newspaper - 2nd place out of 11, Za Rulem magazine - 1st place out of 12.

Nokian Line/ Nokian zLine – summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

Nokian Line is a very fresh model in the Nokian summer tire line. The manufacturer immediately declares a number of its strengths.

So, for example, to ensure quick removal of water from the contact patch and improve grip on wet roads, the Nokian Line tread is equipped with special Swoop Grooves. They are located in the shoulder area and are adapted to remove more moisture, providing better protection from hydroplaning.

Another feature is the rubber compound with silica particles, which guarantees reliable contact with both dry and wet road surfaces. In addition, due to its special composition, it generates less heat while driving, which reduces fuel consumption and extends the life of the tire. Asymmetrical pattern tread makes the tire more stable. The center tread area is made up of a stiffer rubber compound, further improving handling at high speeds.

The shoulder area, consisting of dual blocks, improves the clarity of steering force transmission and gives the tire additional rigidity. During a normal, relaxed driving style, the blocks flex, thereby reducing rolling resistance and allowing the car to use less fuel. With a sporty, aggressive driving style, the shoulder blocks close together, increasing tire stiffness.

TEST RESULTS

Approximately on the same level with the Koreans in the tests, two models from Nokian performed: Line, dimension 195/65 R15, and its seventeen-inch counterpart - zLine. Compared to the Hankook Kinergy Eco, the Finnish tires showed better grip in dry pavement tests, but performed worse on wet roads. In addition, Nokian turned out to be slightly less economical in terms of fuel consumption, but more resistant to wear.

In the 17-inch tire test, Nokian also came close to Hankook. However, this time the Nokian zLine was slightly better on wet pavement, and showed poorer results on dry pavement.

Considering the close cost between classmates Nokian and Hankook, we can draw the following conclusions: if you live in an arid climate, then when choosing 15-inch wheels for low price we recommend the Nokian Line, and among the 17-inch tires, you should take a closer look at the Hankook Ventus S1 evo2 K117. Accordingly, for a rainier climate, it is better to choose Hankook Kinergy Eco K425 from budget 15-inch wheels, and Nokian zLine will perform better on 17-inch wheels. The main thing is not to confuse (or simply not skimp on the more expensive models from the top three leaders, which are clearly better on both dry and wet roads).

Summary results of Nokian Line summer tire test: Autonavigator - 7th place out of 17, ADAC - 6th place out of 16.

Pirelli P Zero - summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

Pirelli P Zero - designed specifically for luxury cars, exclusive sports cars and powerful SUVs new generation, P Zero tires are also recommended for use on medium-sized cars with powerful engines. The new asymmetric tread concept optimizes the contact patch at high speeds, resulting in excellent grip and handling, as well as reduced noise levels.

Outer shoulder with wide, rigid blocks for enhanced handling performance in cornering and sporty driving. V new tire reduced the risk of aquaplaning thanks to the presence of three wide longitudinal grooves and additional diagonal grooves. Three continuous longitudinal ribs guarantee high exchange rate stability at high speeds, a significant reduction in braking distance, excellent traction at high speeds on both wet and dry road surfaces. The use of the latest generation of rubber compounds in the production has significantly reduced the weight of the tire, improved handling and grip, increased comfort and minimized the effect of tire deformation when driving at high speeds.

TEST RESULTS

The 225/45 R17 Pirelli P Zero tires also showed excellent results, taking an honorable third place in the Adac studies. In Auto Zeitung/GTU testing, the P Zero shared the third spot with the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 tires. In all tests, Pirelli was only slightly behind our leaders, which speaks of the high quality of the P Zero. Perhaps in hotter conditions, the Italian rubber would have performed better, but the tests took place in Germany, where the climate is cooler than on the Mediterranean coast. In any case, we can recommend Pirelli PZero for our southern regions and Kazakhstan.

Summary results of the summer test Pirelli tires PZero: ADAC (R17) - 3rd place out of 16, Auto Zeitung/GTU - 3rd place out of 14.

Sava Intensa HP - summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

Sellers Sava Intensa HP focus on value for money. They claim that the universal pattern is able to adequately work both on asphalt and on dirt roads. It is said that Sava Intensa HP has a very high performance in terms of car handling, as it has an advanced cord system. Also, the tire material is quite light, which helps to reduce fuel consumption during operation. To what extent the statements of sellers are justified in practice, read below.

TEST RESULTS

Sava is another European brand. Like the more eminent Dunlop, Sava is a subsidiary of the American monster Goodyear - a kind of Dacia in the world of tires, only from Slovenia. The Sava Intensa HP, tested by ACE/ARBO and ADAC, did not show any extraordinary ability, but was able to outperform much more expensive tires.

In the races of budget tires, Sava Intensa HP performed well on dry surfaces. However, poor results during emergency braking in the rain contributed to the final low position in the rankings. Interestingly, ADAC Intensa HP performed differently in tests - excellent results on wet pavement and poor dry grip, which, together with high noise, threw the Sava to 8th place in the German rating.

In the battle of 17-inch tires for this brand, the Intensa UHP model (which seriously differs from the Intensa HP not only in size, but also in the tread pattern) performed. The rubber turned out to be close in characteristics to the Nokian zLine - relatively good grip on dry pavement, and somewhat slurred behavior on wet roads. Of the advantages, it is worth noting the best wear resistance.

The summary results of the Sava Intensa HP summer tire test: ADAC (R17) - 1st place out of 16, ADAC (R15) - 4th place out of 16, ACE/ARBO - 8th place out of 10.

Toyo Proxes T1 Sport – summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

Summer tires Proxes T1 Sport are ideal for sports sedans and coupes. Providing extremely precise control of the machine on both wet and dry surfaces, the tires have excellent stability, especially at high speed.

Durable grooved inner rib improves braking performance and reduces uneven tire wear. The center rib gives the car stability at high speed and improves its response. The powerful shoulder block of the tire increases the contact patch with the road and improves handling and steering response. Wide central grooves and water channels reduce the risk of hydroplaning.

The very rigid top layer of the breaker gives the wheel stability at high speed. Solid sidewall provides good handling on the track. The rigid viscose layer gives stability in turns at high speed, and the inflexible bead filler provides a quick response to the steering wheel when driving straight ahead.

The two-component tread compound (not available in all sizes) meets the different needs of the inside and outside of the tire for superior handling and braking performance. Mixture inside tread improves handling. Mixture outside designed to improve cornering stability (enables cornering at higher speeds).

Depending on the width of the tire, two different profiles have been developed. A tire with a width of 285 mm or more has a wide center rib for improved cornering control and traction.

TEST RESULTS

In addition to Bridgestone, other Japanese tires were also presented at the tests: Toyo Proxes T1 Sport. These tires were clearly not designed for the Central European climate, which led to a low position in the ranking. frankly weak point Toyo is a wet road - both tires proved to be significantly worse than the rubber models described above in safety and stability on wet surfaces. As for dry asphalt, everything is not so simple. The tire holds the road well when maneuvering, but the braking distance leaves much to be desired. Of the individual features, it can be noted that Toyo Proxes T1 Sport is subject to rapid wear.

Summary results of the summer test toyo tires Proxes T1 Sport: ADAC (R17) - 11th out of 16, Auto Zeitung/GTU - 10th out of 14.

Vredestein Sportrac 5 - summer tires test

OFFICIAL INFORMATION

The Vredestein Summer Tire is an updated version of the Sportrac 3 tire that has proven itself in the test. The company deliberately “missed” the number 4 in the name of the novelty in order to avoid possible confusion with the name all season tires The Vredestein.Sportrac 5 is a completely silent and exceptionally comfortable summer tire with excellent stability and a sporty profile that guarantees excellent handling on both dry and wet road surfaces. The Sportrac 5 size range allows these tires to be fitted to more prestigious mid-range vehicles.

The Vredestein Sportrac 5 tires were developed in collaboration with the Italian design company Giugiaro. Over the past few years, this fruitful collaboration has already led to the creation of tires such as the Vredestein Ultrac Cento and Ultrac Sessanta, which are very popular with drivers.

Giugiaro Design has developed the tread pattern and markings on the lateral surface of the Sportrac 5 tire, as well as some significant components. The blackout at the base of all four tread grooves emphasizes the asymmetry and gives the tire a sporty look, while the markings on the lateral surface complete the unique elegant design. In addition, the shoulder of the Sportrac 5 has the Vredestein logo next to the tread wear indicator.

Excellent handling and long service life.

Unlike the Sportrac 3, the Sportrac 5 has an asymmetric rather than a directional tread pattern. The tire also features engineered flex points on the center grooves that provide the necessary flex for low rolling resistance and optimal tire footprint for even pressure distribution on the road surface. This ensures uniform tire wear and excellent handling on both dry and wet road surfaces.

Handling Tuned Sidewall technology

The Sportrac 5 features Handling Tuned Sidewall Technology. Along with reinforced outer shoulders and a rugged construction, this technology provides the vehicle with a particularly sporty feel and excellent handling.

Safe and quiet driving

Sportrac 5 tires have four wide longitudinal grooves for optimal water evacuation and maximum hydroplaning protection. Thoughtful distribution of the shoulder blocks of the tire provides excellent performance braking on wet surfaces, as well as low noise levels (external and internal). Combining all these qualities, Vredestein engineers have created the most sporty summer tire on the market, the Sportrac 5 for the V segment.

Video reviews and tests

Summer tires Nexen N'Blue HD Plus is considered an improved version of the model of the same name. During development, errors were taken into account and new advantages were added.

One of these nuances was protection against aquaplaning. The improvement in these indicators was obtained due to the addition of transverse grooves to the tread pattern.

Drainage optimization

Tires with optimized drainage system they are distinguished by volumetric longitudinal channels that quickly remove water from the platform in contact with the road surface.

This option increases the grip strength with the track in rainy weather. Although, an increase in the density of the transverse notches enhances the ability to cling to a dry highway, thanks to the many rubber edges.

Stability at high speed

The summer tire of this model has improved stability when driving at high speed. This was achieved through the use of solid steel wire in the cord, as well as a special rubber compound.

Due to the new composition, the rubber has become more rigid than was used in earlier versions of the model. This strengthens the stability of the movement on the highway and the quick response of the car to the rotation of the steering mechanism.

Manageability also improves when the frame is strengthened, into the structure of which a steel strip is embedded. Steel also stabilizes the shape of the wheel, protects it from punctures, shock deformations, and cuts.

Best grip on wet pavement

The Nexen N'Blue ND Plus tire also features a new compound with a higher percentage of silica. In addition, the production of rubber is accompanied by innovative technology, which results in a more uniform composition with an increased coefficient of adhesion to a road flooded with precipitation.

Shortened braking distance

The review of the model can be continued with the statement that the brake one has become shorter due to the steel cord added under the tread. Thanks to this improvement, the stability of the ride at considerable speed and control over the road have increased.

Rigid shoulder zones prevent slipping and skidding on bends. They, in turn, increased the stability of the machine in maneuvering.

Model Features

Benefits of Nexen N'Blue ND Plus:

  • excellent resistance to aquaplaning;
  • improved grip in rainy weather, due to the new compound;
  • reinforced sidewalls and breaker in the frame increased the contact patch;
  • massive shoulder blocks increased stability when maneuvering;
  • shortened braking path;
  • wear resistance;
  • improved manageability.

Reviews

Zalevsky Artem:

Pros: Nice in comfort and ride. Pretty quiet. They hold super, they stop quickly when you press the brakes.

Minuses: Got a side cut. When I got to the workshop it turned out that the tire was smaller than the declared size.

Conclusions: I took the size 205*55*16. Installed on Toyota. Recomend for everybody. I am very satisfied. The Nexen is nicer than the bridge. And the price is not great. I try to drive carefully. We have very broken roads. On the curb, a friend recently tore the continental. And my Nexen goes confidently and we manage without cuts.
I noticed that the tire is economical. When I moved to it, I noticed that the car often coasts. And gas mileage has dropped. Not much, but still.

The Nexen N'Blue HD model in size 195/65 R15, which was included in the list of ten summer tires tested by the expert group of the Ukrainian Autocentre, was able to pleasantly surprise. The products of Korean tire manufacturers that participated in earlier tests, both under the Nexen and Roadstone brands, were almost always outsiders, or at best lost among the middle peasants in the second half of the list.

Nexen N'Blue HD was able to do the unbelievable - a little more and she would have reached for four safety stars.

Let's see what got in her way. The braking properties of the South Korean development on both dry and wet pavement reached the seventh result when summing up. And if on the “dry land” the difference in performance with the test leader was less than a meter, then on the wet road the difference has already “exceeded” 1.5 meters. Interestingly, handling in both cases was rated at 7 points with a maximum of 10. Although the testers noted that this parameter needs to be finalized despite the fact that the handling was positioned by the manufacturer as a key feature of the model.

In tests for resistance to aquaplaning, the N'Blue HD tires, showing rather mediocre capabilities, also did not surprise the experts. Extreme maneuvers in wet conditions were accompanied by drifts, and sometimes the test car completely went into side slip. At the same time, the testers felt tire vibrations emanating from the sliding shoulder blocks of the tread. On a dry track, the response of the Nexen tires to steering was not quick.

And that's where it happened a pleasant surprise, so it is in the test for profitability. Here it turned out that N'Blue HD is a dock in the matter of reducing the cost of fuel and can compete with Nokian Hakka Blue and Goodyear's EfficientGrip Performance. However, you can’t go far with low rolling resistance in the company of products from venerable manufacturers and you need to have excellent performance properties, which in this case the Nexen N’Blue HD model did not show up.

In the absence of pronounced shortcomings and high fuel efficiency, the Autocentre experts were able to give the Korean woman only seventh place in the overall standings.

Review of the Nexen NBLUE HD summer model from a well-known Korean tire brand.

What are its advantages, disadvantages, and what do users think about it?

From this article you will learn:

On wet roads, they retain good directional stability at speeds permitted by traffic rules and do not tend to succumb to aquaplaning. On any type of surface, the deceleration efficiency and stopping distance are acceptable.

Minuses

The lateral grip properties of the Nexen on dry pavement leave much to be desired. In turns, the sidewall of the tire can lose its shape, and drifts can occur suddenly and abruptly. In any case, cornering is not recommended at high speed.

On wet asphalt, handling can also be a problem. In particular, the steering is not informative, and the steering wheel is devoid of a coherent effort.

Customer opinion

Nexen NBLUE HD have an attractive price tag, so there is a certain demand for them. Motorists note low tread wear, good acoustic comfort, tolerable handling, and also low. The reason for possible disappointments is often the weak sidewall of the tire, on which or may appear, poor patency outside the asphalt (soil, grass, etc.).

Summer tires Nexen Nblue HD Plus are designed for installation on compact and medium-sized cars. The Nblue HD Plus is an eco-friendly, sustainable, high performance tire with exceptional wet handling and braking performance. Use in production Nexen tires Nblue HD Plus' optimized frame and environmentally friendly components have contributed to a significant reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

A computer-simulated network of longitudinal and transverse grooves effectively evacuates water and improves hydroplaning stability. Massive, increased-density shoulder blocks improve cornering precision through proper distribution active forces. The solid structure of the shoulder blocks guarantees exceptional braking performance in the toughest operating conditions. Straight-line stability was achieved through the use of three continuous ribs in the tread to stabilize the car at high speeds. The high-modulus OCCS carcass reduces tire deformation and keeps the shape of the tire, improving driving stability. Improved braking with optimized pressure distribution is achieved through the use of innovative OBCS circuit simulation technology. The special tread compound with hydrophilic filler and microstructural controlled polymer provides traction performance on dry and wet roads. The use of high-dispersion silicon HDS and a patented polymer in the tread compound contributes to reduced friction when the tire slides, reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, thereby ensuring excellent energy efficiency.
