I have always treated Porsche products with some skepticism and distrust. A sort of expensive and unknown little animal. Yes, now Cayenne and Panamer divorced like mud. And this turned me away from this brand even more. Well, it doesn’t fit in my head how an SUV can be sporty ?! The dirt there is impassable, impassable roads, all sorts of fields and country roads ... I don’t understand what all this has to do with Porsche’s sports philosophy .. I didn’t understand the Panamera either. A sort of S-class Mercedes with a muzzle and ass from 911 or a 4-door 911 :) It's also not clear. Long story short, I bought it :)

I looked after the car more for everyday use, and therefore the presence of an automatic transmission, a consumption of about 15 liters of the 98th in the city and a tax of 17,000 rubles (against about 60,000 rubles for a 295-horsepower Cayman S) per year suited me perfectly. I want to note that the weight of the car is only 1350 kg, the length is 4.35 m, and the height is only 1.3 m (to the elbow). Personally, I have enough 245 hp for the eyes. I don’t get pleasure from abrupt starts from a standstill, and acceleration in 6.1 seconds to 100 km.h. quite satisfied.

The motor is not turbocharged and boxer. A sort of classic of the genre. Despite the fact that it is in the cabin, the engine itself is not audible from the cabin. You can only hear the exhaust. By the way, this car has an optional PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust) - a sports exhaust that is activated by pressing a button. If you want to ride in relative silence - please. Motors are generally reliable. However, all Porsches have one problem - allegedly from poor quality Russian gasoline it's just pulling the cylinders. The price of a turnkey repair is only 400K rubles. :) No one is safe from this and nothing affects it: neither the oil, nor the driving style, nor the type of engine, nor its volume. In short, as God sends.

On a moderate (up to two hundred) course, the reactions to the steering wheel are immediate. Turns stringing a pleasure. From time to time, the control system that wakes up delicately limits traction. I turned it off, so what? While the adhesion of the wheels to the roadway is high, if the car is not specifically provoked, the rear does not break into a skid; under thrust, I have a slight demolition of the front end. And the smoothness is not bad for sports car, it’s not prohibitively shaking even with the suspension “squeezed” in the sports mode.

What I don’t like is the high noise level, there are also unpleasant vibrations. However, with a nimble ride, these features, if not a buzz, then fade into the background. And with a measured movement, they are still tiring, you want comfort. It is easy to get it - you just need not buy a Cayman, but a Porsche 911, and the one that is the latest model. Is it worth paying half the price for it? The little thing is undoubtedly more status, but for me it is absolutely unbearable. However, like the "cheap" Cayman.

Haven't I experienced the magic of driving a Porsche that delights even in the parking lot? Okay, try it. I'm willing to bet that in less than a year you'll start to ride it less and less, and then the possession will be reduced to the occasional recharging of the battery - and it's good if these are trips, and not connecting the charger.
