Where to glue the sign "thorns" according to the rules?

Studded wheels can cause accidents because the presence of studs shortens the stopping distance of the vehicle. In order for the driver behind the car to have this information, the Rules provide for the mandatory designation of vehicles moving on studded tires.

The warning sign must be clearly visible from a distance of more than 20 meters. For this, it is placed on rear window auto.

In the presence of tinting, the sign is glued from the outside. There are no specific requirements regarding the location of the sign.

The Regulations of the SDA on the admission of the vehicle to operation say that the driver is obliged to glue the “Sh” sign, however, administrative responsibility for the absence of a sign was not provided until April 2017, now the fine is 500 rubles. There is also no direct ban on the presence of the “Sh” sticker in the summer in the law.

Where to put the sign "disabled"?

The sign "Disabled" at will can be glued by disabled drivers of the first and second groups. This sign can also be used to designate vehicles transporting disabled people of the 1st and 2nd groups or disabled children (in this case, the identification sign must be removable).

According to the rules, the sign must be glued"front and rear of mechanical vehicles", more specifically, the installation location is not indicated.

The current traffic rules provide drivers of vehicles with the “Disabled” sign with a number of concessions - they can deviate from the requirements of the traffic signs “Parking is prohibited”, “Movement is prohibited”.

On which side should a novice driver stick a sign?

The Regulations of the SDA on the admission of the vehicle to operation say that it is not experienced drivers(who have a driving experience of less than two years) are required to glue the sign "!" on their cars, however, administrative responsibility for the absence of a sign is not currently provided.

As for the location of the newcomer sign, according to the rules, it should be located “behind mechanical vehicles”. Which side to stick the sign on- right or left - the driver chooses.

What penalties are provided if you do not stick a special road sign?

For the absence of warning signs on the car at the moment there are no fines. To glue an exclamation point or the letter "Ш", or not to glue - the driver decides.

The obligation is spelled out in the Regulations of the SDA on the admission of the vehicle to operation, however, there is no administrative responsibility for this kind of violation.

However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs intends to eliminate this contradiction and has already prepared a package of amendments to the SDA. If the Government approves them, violating drivers will be punished under Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, that is, as for driving a vehicle in the presence of malfunctions (since April 2017 a fine of 500 rubles).

Mandatory traffic signs in different CIS countries

Traffic rules in different countries The CIS are very similar. For example, in Kazakhstan, Belarus or Ukraine, the same signs are used to designate vehicles of the corresponding categories as provided for by Russian traffic rules.

However, when going on a trip by car to a neighboring country, it does not hurt for a motorist to familiarize himself in advance with all the innovations that have come into force.

(function(w, d, n, s, t) ( w[n] = w[n] || ; w[n].push(function() ( Ya.Context.AdvManager.render(( blockId: "R-A -136785-1", renderTo: "yandex_rtb_R-A-136785-1", async: true )); )); t = d.getElementsByTagName("script"); s = d.createElement("script"); s .type = "text/javascript"; s.src = "//an.yandex.ru/system/context.js"; s.async = true; t.parentNode.insertBefore(s, t); ))(this , this.document, "yandexContextAsyncCallbacks");

"!" Where do I need to stick the "Beginner Driver" sign?

The "Beginner Driver" badge has been mandatory since 2009. If it is not on the rear window of a car, a driver whose driving experience is less than 24 months will not be able to pass technical inspection. The presence of this sign warns cars coming behind that a novice who graduated from a driving school and recently received a license is behind the wheel. Accordingly, they will be intuitively ready for any incidents and will be able to easily overtake this vehicle.

The Beginning Driver sign is very easy to spot from afar. It is a yellow square with sides of at least 15 centimeters. An exclamation mark 11 centimeters high is drawn in black on a yellow background. Separately, it is worth noting that, out of ignorance, some drivers glue instead of an exclamation mark, the “U” sign is a triangle with a red border and a black letter in the middle. It is not necessary to do this, since this sign indicates a vehicle intended for learning to drive.

The traffic rules do not indicate which specific part of the rear window this symbol should be glued to. Usually it is hooked either in the right or in the upper left corner. It is clear that if it hangs on the left, it will immediately catch the eye of the person riding behind you. In any case, you need to cling to it in such a way that it does not restrict the view to the rear window.

(function(w, d, n, s, t) ( w[n] = w[n] || ; w[n].push(function() ( Ya.Context.AdvManager.render(( blockId: "R-A -136785-3", renderTo: "yandex_rtb_R-A-136785-3", async: true )); )); t = d.getElementsByTagName("script"); s = d.createElement("script"); s .type = "text/javascript"; s.src = "//an.yandex.ru/system/context.js"; s.async = true; t.parentNode.insertBefore(s, t); ))(this , this.document, "yandexContextAsyncCallbacks");

The Code of Administrative Offenses and the SDA does not provide for any penalties for not installing this sign at the moment. Its main purpose is to warn other road users of your inexperience. The wording of this sign, like some others, is as follows:

“At the request of the driver, identification marks can be installed ...” and then comes a short list: an inexperienced driver, a doctor, a woman driving. Although for the passage of MOT the presence of this sign is required.

If you have mastered the skill of driving well enough even during practical training at a driving school and feel confident behind the wheel, then you still have to glue this sign. One thing pleases - it is not expensive and is sold at any press kiosk or in an auto shop.

(function(w, d, n, s, t) ( w[n] = w[n] || ; w[n].push(function() ( Ya.Context.AdvManager.render(( blockId: "R-A -136785-2", renderTo: "yandex_rtb_R-A-136785-2", async: true )); )); t = d.getElementsByTagName("script"); s = d.createElement("script"); s .type = "text/javascript"; s.src = "//an.yandex.ru/system/context.js"; s.async = true; t.parentNode.insertBefore(s, t); ))(this , this.document, "yandexContextAsyncCallbacks");

Starting from April 2017 in the existing traffic rules Russian Federation there have been some changes regarding the location of mandatory signs on the vehicle. Where should such a Spike sign be attached, what is the reason for such an innovation, and what penalties can a vehicle owner expect if he has ignored this mandatory requirement that has already entered into force?

Reasons for installation

Why do I need a sticker "Studded tires"? Installing a sign on a machine performs the following tasks and functions:

  • Providing information to road users that the vehicle in front of them is equipped with studded tires;
  • Possibility to pass technical inspection;
  • No unwanted stops and document checks in winter.

Where to place

So, having figured out the answer to the question “is the spike sign mandatory or not”, it’s worth finding out where to glue it according to the rules so that neither the persons conducting maintenance nor the traffic police have any claims against you. There is no clear regulation according to the placement rules. However, based on paragraph 8 of the Basic Provisions of the Regulatory Rules, its location should be the rear of the vehicle, and this should be done in such a way that the drivers of the cars following you, as well as trucks could easily see the sign at a distance of up to 20 meters.

Depending on what brand your car is, you can choose a different location., but experienced drivers and driving school instructors advise placing it in the upper part of the car's rear window. The placement side can be any - on the right or on the left - in this case, the priority will be exactly the visibility of the drivers moving behind you, as well as the fact that such a sign does not interfere with the driver of this car in terms of visibility and does not block the necessary review.

In the case of attachment to the glass, it is no longer so important whether it will be inside the vehicle or outside, however, if your car has tinted windows, then the best option yet there will be its location on outside cars. It will also not be a mistake to mount such a sign on the body or bumper of the car in a conspicuous place.

The dimensions of the sign according to GOST must be at least 20 cm (one side of the triangle), the triangle itself must be surrounded by a red border, the width of which is at least 10% of the length of the side of the figure itself. The letter "Ш" of black color is inscribed in the center of the triangle. When purchasing or making it yourself, please note that it must necessarily meet certain parameters.

Responsibility for the absence

On November 29, 2018, Dmitry Medvedev signed a government decree, on the basis of which, drivers of cars were abolished from obligatory gluing the “Sign of Spikes” and a fine for its absence. Now it is voluntary.
