2. Do not forget to remove any of the terminals on the battery, it is better to de-energize the car during such work;
3. With keys 10 and 13, we loosen the clamp that holds the fuel filter rigidly;
4. With 19 keys we keep the filter from rotating, and with a 17 key we unscrew the fuel line fittings (for a 1.5 liter engine). For a 1.6 liter engine, we snap off the clips and pull off the fuel hoses.
5. We dismantle the old filter element and install a new one. We fasten the fittings in their places, tighten the clamp. Everything is very simple, the work takes no more than half an hour.

After replacement, a performance check of the new part is required. You should start the engine and make sure that the replaced filter does not leak, and the engine runs stably and gains momentum well.

SAFETY

Gasoline is a flammable and poisonous substance, therefore, when carrying out work related to its flow, it is necessary to observe elementary safety measures:

1. Do not smoke or use open flames to avoid a fire;
2. It is necessary under or other means for extinguishing a fire (construction sand, water);
3. Try not to get gasoline on the skin and oral mucosa;
4. Gasoline leaks should be wiped up immediately with a rag and then stored separately for disposal. After contact with gasoline, rags can no longer be used!

1. The fuel line fittings should be dismantled carefully, without sudden movements.
2. The fuel filter must be installed in a certain position, there is an arrow on its body. The arrow indicates the direction of fuel flow.
3. After replacing the filter, turn on the ignition two or three times without starting the engine. The fuel pump needs to pump fuel into the system.
