1 - Signal light for the open door of the passenger compartment signal light lights up when the side door of the car is open or not closed properly.

2 - Tailgate open warning light This warning light comes on when the tailgate is open or not fully closed.

3 - Oil pressure warning light Lights up when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position. After starting the engine, the light should go out. If this light does not come on when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position, this means that the light bulb or fuse is blown. In this case, you need to check the system and fix the problem. If the light comes on randomly for a short time while the engine is running, this does not mean a malfunction in the engine system. If the light is constantly on during engine operation, it is necessary to turn off the engine to identify and eliminate the malfunction. 4 - Signal light for anti-lock braking system ABS (if the car is equipped with ABS)

The yellow “ABS” light is designed to control the control of the car's anti-lock braking system. When the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position, this light comes on. After starting the engine, the lamp goes out (if the lamp does not light up, contact the nearest service center " Great Wall"). If the light comes on intermittently or stays on while driving, stop the vehicle, turn off the ignition, and then start the engine again. Then smoothly accelerate the car to a speed of 15 km / h. If the light stays on or flashes intermittently while driving, check the ABS system.

5 - Warning light for an unfastened seat belt. If the seat belt is not fastened when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position, this light comes on and goes out when the seat belt is in the fastened position.

6, 9 - Indicator lights for direction indicators. The green turn signal indicators are located on the instrument panel. A flashing indicator means the rear and front left or right turn signals are on at the same time. If the indicator light flashes too fast or does not flash, the bulbs need to be checked. If the indicator does not light up when the turn signal is turned on, check the fuse, bulbs and relay. When the alarm is activated, both sides of the turn signal indicators will flash.

16 - Indicator lamp for switched on lighting. This light comes on when the headlights, turn signals and parking lights are turned on.

17 - Parking brake warning light. If, when the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position, the parking brake, the parking brake warning light comes on and goes out when the parking brake is released.

18 - Signal Light " check engine” (check the engine). The ECM controls the fuel supply to the engine, controls the ignition and ensures emission performance meets environmental standards. When the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position, this light comes on. After starting the engine, the light should go out. If the light comes on while the engine is running or while the vehicle is moving, this means that a malfunction has occurred in the vehicle's engine management system or one of the sensors has failed. 26 - Daily mileage counter. The odometer shows the total mileage of the car and the length of the given section of movement.

27 - Button for resetting the daily mileage counter. This button is designed to switch the scale of the total mileage of the car and reset the scale of the daily mileage.

28 - Warning light for low fuel level in the tank. When there is little fuel left in the car's tank (about 10.5 liters), the low fuel warning light comes on. In this case, you need to refuel the car. The fuel gauge may also come on if there is more fuel left in the tank when driving uphill, downhill, hard braking, accelerating, or turning as a result of fuel shifting in the tank. If the indicator comes on while driving in normal mode on a level surface and there is sufficient fuel in the tank, the vehicle should be checked by an authorized Great Wall Motor Service Dealer.

29 - Fuel gauge. The sensor shows the amount of fuel relative to the total volume of the tank. Engine preheat indicator. This indicator lights up in cold weather after turning the ignition key to the "ON" position, if the engine temperature is below the set value. After the engine has warmed up to the set temperature, the indicator goes out. The preheating system ensures a stable engine start at low ambient temperatures.

High level indicator in the fuel separator sump. This indicator lights up when the water level in the fuel separator sump is too high. In this case, it is necessary to stop the car, check the separator and drain the water from the sump.

Indicator electronic system distribution braking force. This indicator is intended to indicate the state of the vehicle's electronic brake force distribution control system.
This indicator lights up after turning the key in the ignition switch to the "ON" position and after a while (1-2 seconds) automatically goes out if no failures are found in the system. If the indicator lights up continuously or does not light up at all, this means a malfunction in the system. In this case, the vehicle must be checked at an authorized service station.

In the event of a failure in the brake force distribution system, the conventional hydraulic brake system continues to function normally, but in any case, the brake force distribution system should be checked and repaired as soon as possible.

All-wheel drive indicator. Four-wheel drive enable indicator "4WD" on dashboard lights up after turning the ignition key to the "ON" position, if the transfer case switch is set to the four-wheel drive position ("4H" or "4L").

Engine lock indicator. After turning the key in the ignition switch to the "ON" position, communication is established between the anti-theft device controller and the transceiver in the key head, as well as between said controller and the electronic engine control unit. The indicator is lit during the password authentication process, i.e. within 2 sec. If the password check is successful, the indicator goes out and the engine is allowed to start.

If the password is not confirmed, the indicator starts flashing at a frequency of 1 Hz, the fuel supply to the engine is cut off, and the engine cannot be started. In this case, it is also necessary to contact a service station.

Transmission fluid overheat indicator.

Overspeed Indicator.* This indicator flashes when the vehicle accelerates to 120 km/h and a short beep sounds to warn the driver of the overspeed.

ESP system malfunction indicator. In the event of a malfunction in the ESP system, the indicator will light continuously. During normal ESP operation, the indicator may flash.

Automatic transmission oil temperature exceeding indicator (for vehicles with 4D20 engine). The indicator lights up when the temperature of the automatic transmission oil exceeds the mark of 125 ° C. When the temperature drops below the mark of 125 ° C, the indicator will go out when the key is in the “ON” position in the ignition switch.

All-wheel drive indicator (for vehicles with 4D20 engine). The indicator lights up when all-wheel drive is connected.

Cruise control indicator. The indicator lights up when the cruise control function is turned on with the "CRUISE" button. Pressing this key again will turn off the indicator light and disable the cruise control system.

ESP off indicator. The indicator lights up continuously when the ESP system is off.

Emergency indicator warning about the need for engine repair. This warning indicator illuminates if a failure is detected in any part of the engine that is not directly connected to the exhaust system.

Traction control indicator*. The activation of the traction control system depends on road conditions. This indicator lights up automatically when the system is turned on.

This indicator lights up after turning the key in the ignition switch to the "ON" position and after a while (1-2 seconds) goes out if no failures are found in the system. If the indicator does not light up, then the system has failed. In this case, the vehicle must be checked by an authorized Great Wall Motor service station.

Last week I tested the updated Chinese SUV Great Wall Hover H5. This is the third generation of Hovers. I was frankly impressed with the pace at which the Chinese are gaining experience in building cars. For rides, I chose the motocross track on Michurinsky Prospekt, after the rain it becomes especially interesting.

2. The Great Wall Hover has been produced since 2006, and the updated third version appeared in 2010. Over the past 5 years, the design of the car has been significantly improved, and most importantly, the Chinese do not stop there, but continue to improve the cars they produce. So, for example, Hovers with automatic transmission and a diesel engine have recently appeared. Since 2011, the Great Wall Hover H5 with a gasoline engine has been assembled in the city of Gzhel near Moscow.

3. When viewed from the front, the Hover is now very reminiscent of the Mazda CX-7, which does not quite fit with its brutal character. And the remote plate for the license plate is located too low - in the photo the number is still in place, and after the nearest ford it moved under windshield.

4. In profile, the silhouette has not changed much, and of course door handles from the 90s are asked to be replaced. At the back, LED optics are now used (dimensions, brake lights, fog lights).

14. Dashboard. On new cars with automatic transmission and a diesel engine, a monochrome LCD screen is already installed in the lower center. By the way, interesting feature- there is no such thing as a stabilization system on the Hover.

For such a combination, the car steers very well, although the steering wheel is quite light and off-road this is more of a minus than a plus.
