A motorcycle is a Symbol of our Freedom, our Emblem is a Symbol of Memory, Loyalty and Honor - so say the bikers MC Night Wolves.

MC Night Wolves is the Motorcycle Club of the Russian Spirit, the Motorcycle Club of Patriots! A motorcycle club capable of uniting the Russian, Slavic society through a disinterested motorcycle brotherhood. We have never traded our principles, abandoned our friends, exchanged our banners for foreign ones.

For a birthday, they cooked a lamb on a spit.

Bikers from the CIS countries and Europe came to congratulate Volkov. The Night Wolves wished to preserve their identity and their independence, despite their wide open doors to the West.

The Night Wolves built the first in Russia, unlike anything, Bike Center, which in a short time became known to the entire motorcycle, and not only, world as - “amazing place which I never seen before” - this is how foreigners write about it, at least once visited it.

Since 1995, the Wolf Engineering division has existed at the club, consisting of amateur mechanics and engaged in the assembly and repair of motorcycles. This division developed and produced the Ural-Wolf motorcycle, as well as custom motorcycles exhibited at thematic exhibitions.

The image of a rebel on a motorcycle and the spirit of disinterested brotherhood - this is what underlies the ideology of the club.

Motorcycle club "Night Wolves" is multinational, members of the club belong to more than three religions, but the majority are Orthodox.

The festive event began with a run of the column of Night Wolves and guests to the Museum of Vadim Zadorozhny's technology.

Club leader - Alexander "Surgeon" Zaldostanov. (on right)

The surgeon throughout his life has the status of their ideological leader and president of the club.

The Museum of Technology of Vadim Zadorozhny is a private museum of automobile, motorcycle and military equipment, located near the Arkhangelskoye estate in the Krasnogorsk district of the Moscow region.

Museum tour.

The museum has a large collection of motorcycles.

After viewing the main exhibits in the museum building, a tank battle was to unfold on the site. The T-34-85 tank appeared on the horizon.

The tank stopped abruptly and the Surgeon appeared from the commander's hatch. He congratulated the bikers on the birthday of the club.

After the congratulations, the action began. Motorcycles with submachine gunners from the Second World War drove out to the site.

The submachine gunners repelled an attack by an American Sherman tank with German emblems.

Then they knocked out an armored personnel carrier, accurately throwing a grenade into the body, from which a burning "German" ran out.

Self-propelled gun crushed the "German" motorcycle.

Here is the kind person with whom we drove from the bike center to the museum and back. Thanks a lot! It was cool!

After the museum, the bikers returned to the "base".

The musical program began on the stage.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation admonished the convoy of "wolves" on the way from Moscow Vladimir Putin, who gave the bikers the Russian tricolor.

2009 - XIII International Bike Show took place in the city of Russian glory - Sevastopol. 5,000 motorcyclists came to the International Bike Show, 50,000 people became guests of the Bike Show. On July 10-11, 2009, a religious procession was held in Sevastopol with the participation Andrey Kuraev and bikers "Night Wolves".

In December 2009, representatives of Moscow bikers announced their intention to become the unofficial guard of the Orthodox Church of St. Thomas.

In March 2011 - Russian President Vladimir Putin met with representatives of the biker movement from the countries of the former Yugoslavia in Belgrade.

In August 2011, Putin attended the 16th Bike Festival organized in Novorossiysk by the Night Wolves.

On April 21, 2012, an auto-moto race took place "in support of Patriarch Kirill, Russian Orthodox Church and traditional values of Russian civilization" under the slogans: "They shoot at the Patriarch - they aim at Russia", "Faith, Church, Motherland", "Russia forever".

In March 2013, President Vladimir Putin presented the Order of Honor to Alexander Zaldostanov, a well-known biker nicknamed the Surgeon. The founder and leader of the oldest biker club in Russia "Night Wolves", president of the Russian Association of Bikers, was awarded this state award "for active work on the patriotic education of youth, participation in search work and perpetuating the memory of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland."

At the same time, dissatisfaction with the fact that the movement had become too official began to grow among bikers. As the media wrote, motorcyclists across the country began to leave the organization. So, most of the St. Petersburg bikers gave up their stripes of "Night Wolves" long ago. In the motorcycle party they claimed that the Surgeon had already forgotten about the true values of motorcyclists - he "draws a lot", "shows off" and "makes money".

According to St. Petersburg bikers, who wished to remain anonymous, the surgeon began to "spoil" fraternization with Vladimir Putin and those in power in general:

"He surrounded himself with businessmen, politicians, majors - now in Moscow they are the main members of the bike club, - one of the ex-participants of the Night Wolves is indignant. - He is further and further away from the common people. Putting on some insanely expensive bike shows, who needs them? A motorcycle club is a brotherhood, not an organization, especially a commercial one.".

In April 2013, members of the motorcycle club took part in the improvement of the territory Chersonese in the Sevastopol.

On June 1, 2014, the Night Wolves presented the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in Sergiev Posad with two bells cast with the money collected by the bikers.

In February 2015, a biker rally, organized by the local branch of the Night Wolves motorcycle club, in memory of those who died last year on the Kiev Maidan soldiers of the Crimean special forces "Golden eagle" passed through the cities of Crimea.

The column of cars and motorcycles started from Yalta from the Church of the Archangel Michael and will follow the route Alushta - Simferopol - Sevastopol. In addition to bikers, the Crimean Afghan Veterans Union, Crimean union of paratroopers, militias.

Scandals (rumors)

On the night of October 20, 2012, a shootout took place in Zelenograd between representatives of the Night Wolves and another biker club - "Three Roads". As a result, one person died and two were injured. According to some media reports, about 70 representatives of the "Night Wolves" arrived at the territory of the garage complex, where the Three Roads car service was located, in order to "embroider" the bikers of the Three Roads.

After such a procedure, when the symbolism is broken, the club ceases to exist. At the same time, one of the activists of the "Night Wolves" said that his teammates came to invite bikers from the "Three Roads" to the closing of the motorcycle season, and they immediately opened fire.

Currently, a criminal case has been opened on the fact of an attack on motorcyclists from the Three Roads, which is being investigated by the Investigative Committee of Zelenograd.

In March 2014, there was a fire in a wooden-brick house at the address: st. Nizhniye Mnevniki, 110. There is the headquarters of the bike club "Night Wolves", known for its active citizenship. Club activists did not rule out that it could be arson.

Bikers have been holding the January show for kids since 2004. Fireworks, stuntmen and a field kitchen are all in the spirit of Orthodoxy and patriotism. Last year, not only Koschey, the Snow Maiden with Santa Claus and three heroes were participants in the performance, but also NATO, Business and the Foreign Star (a girl resembling the American Statue of Liberty). The villains stole the key of time in order to rewrite history, and the good heroes, to whom Koschey also got, did not let him interfere with the reunification of Crimea and Russia. With whom the fairy-tale characters will fight this time is still a secret. 21 performances are planned (about 4,000 tickets for 2,000 rubles have already been sold). Thus, the "wolves" will earn about 8 million. The guests of the show are often disabled children and children from orphanages. Apparently, they gave 9 million rubles for their entertainment.

This is not the only grant received by the bikers: in October they received 12 million for the creation of the Patriot center on Mount Gasfort in Sevastopol. By the way, because of this plot of 267 hectares, passions are still boiling. Last week, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation found out: the site was leased "without encumbrances and security obligations," and the rent was set with violations.

In addition to the Youth Autonomous Non-Profit Organization (YANO) "Night Wolves", biker leader Alexander Zaldostanov nicknamed Surgeon and his associates, according to the register of legal entities, there are several other organizations, including Russian Motorcyclists and the Federation of Motorcycle Tourism. All of them regularly win grants. For the same Christmas trees, the “wolves” have already received 4 times: 3.7 million, then 3.5 and twice 9 million rubles each. In addition, 9 million in 2014 they were given to the Prometheus International Stunt Festival. At the same time, the Ministry of Culture allocated 15 million for a bike show in Sevastopol. In 2013, they gave 3.5 million for the project "Win!". And in 2014 - 9 million for the Friendship Road motocross. There were also 7 million for the Russian Way project (including a socio-study of the “modern motorcycle culture of Russia”). By "little things" falls in the regions - for example, half a million from the budget of the Novosibirsk region. on the spiritual and patriotic education of youth. AT total since 2012, according to experts, the "wolves" have received from 50 to 80 million rubles. “They don’t allocate enough, we need more,” Alexander Zaldostanov believes, emphasizing that he does not steal money, but receives it openly.

Business in leather jacket

Night Wolves is the first official Soviet biker club, founded in 1989. Now they have many regional branches in the Russian Federation and abroad (in Ukraine, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania). Today they say about the "wolves" that they are Orthodox patriots who enjoy the sympathy of the president. By and large, the organization really manages to regularly hold spectacular patriotic events.

And once the Surgeon and Co. provided a "roof" for a barely nascent business. “We were Robin Hoods,” Zaldostanov admitted in an interview with foreign journalists. “Entrepreneurial activity began - numerous tiny shops, shops, and we defended them as our friends.” There is a version that in 1991, for the first time, bikers "entered" politics - they stood on the barricades against the State Emergency Committee. They say, Yeltsin even awarded the Surgeon, but today Zaldostanov does not mention this in his biography.

The Night Wolves are called a youth organization. True, the backbone of the club is people over 40, Zaldostanov himself is already 52. For more than 15 years, their Moscow headquarters has been located on Nizhniye Mnevniki Street in the Sexton bike center. There is a restaurant, a club, and a shop. It is known that in 2007 the "wolves" managed to earn, mainly from this club, 140 million rubles. Until 2009, the Wolf Wear company, created by the Surgeon, flourished. She specialized in the wholesale of non-food products, and clothes under this brand are still produced. Of the entire business that the "wolves" were engaged in in the 90s and zero, personally Zaldostanov only had the "Tattoo Center", in which his associates make tattoos. But others continue to not only ride bikes “for the soul”, but also earn money in a real business. For example, a company associated with the "wolves" was engaged in the supply of fuel for one of the government agencies. Bikers also provide security services - it is this business that has become their main business today. In 2011, Volk 77 private security company was established, which soon grew into a whole holding of security structures Volk. Today the holding has several legal entities, and its branches operate in more than a hundred cities across the country.

"For the Crimea"

AT New Year"Wolves" across Yalta will rush on motorcycles in the costumes of Santa Clauses. On the peninsula, they are always welcome guests - it was not for nothing that in 2014 several “wolves” received awards “for Crimea” from the president. According to one version, bikers patrolled the roads together with “polite people” and helped their comrades-in-arms to secretly move to Russia Yanukovych. Why the US was included in the sanctions list. They were also not allowed into the EU for a motorcycle race in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Victory. Here they were also reminded of the exploits in the Donbass. A. Zaldostanov claims that it was the Ukrainian "wolves" who built the first barricade and checkpoint in Luhansk. The SBU does not cease to assert that the “wolves” fought, recruited, and financed. Kyiv biker A. Vereshchagin landed in the dungeons of the SBU only for carrying humanitarian aid to a warring region. The LPR battalions did indeed include the Night Wolves battalion. Now, during the truce, they partially perform the functions of police to protect order.

In January, Khirurg became one of the founders of the Anti-Maidan movement and said he was ready to use violence to stop anti-government protests. They say that the leader of the "wolves" Surgeon has every chance to become, for example, a State Duma deputy. His recent appearance at the presidential address - right in a leather jacket and a traditional hat - attracted everyone's attention. He himself speaks of his mission as follows: "Our goal is the reunification of my country within the borders of the USSR." Such a wolfish appetite ...

What is the business empire of bikers-patriots "Night Wolves". The well-known, including scandalous, bike club "" is not just one of the oldest motorcycle clubs in the country, founded back in May 1989 as the first official biker community in the USSR, but also a rather powerful and widely represented business structure in the regions, if talk about the totality of owned commercial assets. However, this area of activity of the "Night Wolves" remains in the shadow of resonant public actions organized by Alexander Surgeon Zaldostanov and his comrades. Looking for an answer to a question what do motopatriots live on and how do they pay for their hyper-activity, we studied the commercial specialization of the co-owners of the Night Wolves regional clubs throughout the country and the business interests of the most prominent figures at the head of the organization.

"Biker Leaders"

No noticeable "big", but a lot of "wolf" car repair shops, motorcycle dealerships, as well as trade, intermediary, security and even detective services - and so on throughout the country. “I don’t know how the owners of medium-sized businesses in the regions, but the Surgeon and his entourage fly business class, I saw it myself,” political analyst Abbas Gallyamov remarks maliciously. However, the rest of the "leaders" set an example, if not unmercenary in its purest form, then at least some detachment from commerce. True, not all.

Alexander Zaldostanov himself formally withdrew from the foundation of all business structures, except for one: along with a certain Anton Karandeev, he is listed as a co-owner in Baik.V.Center LLC (wholesale trade). His participation in the founding of numerous public organizations is also mentioned (more on that later). But his club deputy Umar Kremlev, according to the SPARK-Interfax database, is the owner of the private security company SB Volk (originally, when registered in 2014, it was called the Night Wolves Private Security Company). In 2016, the company entered into a state contract for the provision of security services for 16 million rubles with the Moscow Property State Unitary Enterprise. In 2015, the "wolves" received 8 million rubles for the protection of the museum-estate "Arkhangelskoye" and 3 million rubles for the protection of the facilities of the State Unitary Enterprise "Mosgortransniiproekt".

In general, Umar Kremlev owns a number of commercial structures: LLC TD Kholod (wholesale trade in products), LLC Kremlin Gold (production of jewelry), LLC Stalingrad (intermediary services), LLC Patriot (activities in the field of sports ) and OOO TSK (truck services). Another company associated with club members, Iron Wolf LLC, was engaged in motorcycle trade, but now, according to SPARK, it has closed. Previously, the TATU Center, which belonged to bikers, also ceased to operate.

Security

In the regions, the "Night Wolves" really turned around, including in the field of commerce. Private security company "Volk-50", owned by Gennady Nikulov, one of the leaders of the "Night Wolves" in the city of Kalyazin, Tver region, recently opened in Sevastopol. Two more security agencies belonging to Nikulov also started working there. He also owns Volk private security company in Krasnodar, Wolf 1423 private security company in Voronezh, as well as a whole pool of security companies in Moscow, in the names of which you will find the invariable “Wolf”. In addition, Nikulov is one of the co-owners of the Night Wolves bike clubs in the cities of Kashin and Dolgorudny (Moscow Region) and one of the leaders of the Bike Center of the Tver Region.

PSC of the Deputy Surgeon received a contract for the protection of the Arkhangelskoye estate

Companion of Gennady Nikulov in the department of "Night Wolves" in Dolgoprudny Vyacheslav Stegalov heads the private security company "Wolf 77" there. By the way, the Surgeon was once among its co-owners. Stegalov also owns Water Battle LLC, which is engaged in "sports activities", and is also mentioned as a former co-owner of Iron Wolf LLC, a motorcycle sales company.

In the Istra district of the Moscow region, one of the co-founders of the local branch of the club is Aleksey Kaplin, who, according to SPARK-Interfax, owns Bars Group Okhrana private public organization and Katerok LLC, which is engaged in retail trade. Evgeny Lapin, co-founder of the club's branch in the Tambov region, also owns a security services business. The Tambov “wolf” also owns Antares LLC, which is engaged in security and private investigations. Igor Cherkezia, the co-founder of the Wolves branch in Bashkortostan, manages his security business (ChOO Luger).

Sale and repair of cars

The business of selling cars and maintaining them is another suitable occupation for men in leather who have a passion for fast driving. Many of those who are the founders and heads of the branches of the Night Wolves bike club in the regions really earn money by working in car dealerships and car repair shops. Among them is the co-founder of the Wolves branch in the city of Torzhok, Tver Region, Sergey Zakharov: he owns Plastdetal LLC and GTS LLC, companies that provide vehicle repair services.

Car repair is also carried out by one of the founders of the Tyumen club "Night Wolves of Western Siberia" Anatoly Anisimov, who owns LLC "ABV Service". AT Nizhny Novgorod Andrey Slobozhanin, one of the leaders of the regional branch of the club, owns Sochi on Yuzhny LLC, which repairs and maintains cars, as well as a number of companies: Favorit LLC ( retail), Mettorgsnab LLC (metal wholesale), Anna LLC (electrocommunications) and Golden Sticks LLC (restaurant business).

In Khimki, near Moscow, Andrey Mishchenko, the owner of Formula NV LLC, teaches driving. In Tatarstan, a regional club was established with the participation of Viktor Mochalov, who has the most “profile” business - his LLC “Motor” sells motorcycles. Another Tambov "wolf" Andrey Mitin earns by cargo transportation through his LLC "Golden Aries".

The co-founders of the regional clubs "Night Wolves" often head the regional associations of motorcyclists. Gennady Nikulov manages the official bike center of the Tver region, Rostov "wolf" Sergey Borisov - the local motorcycle club "Russian Choppers", Alexander Leontiev from Tatarstan - the powerlifting federation, and Alexander Lunkin from the Istra branch - the metropolitan federation for the development of motorcycle sports.

Alcohol and food

Many "wolves" in the regions make their living from the food and drink trade, as well as the restaurant business, which has already been partially mentioned. Alcohol is sold, for example, by Wolf's Lair LLC, the owner of which is Yuri Kozlov, co-founder of the Night Wolves club in Kashin. His colleague from Khimki, Ilya Golovachev, is a co-owner of Ivna LLC (also sells alcohol), as well as Park LLC and Brigantina LLC (retail and wholesale trade in food products, respectively). In Pskov, the "night wolf" Alexander Korushkin owns LLC "PPK", which is engaged in the wholesale trade of beer.

Yevgeny Lapin, already mentioned in connection with the security business in his homeland, sells alcohol and food wholesale in Tambov. He owns several enterprises in this area (Proviant LLC, DDT LLC, Proviant Kholod LLC, Proviant RC LLC). In Rostov-on-Don, Sergey Bobrisov sells products through Respekt LLC.

In the Istra district of the Moscow region, two co-founders of the local branch of the club are connected with the restaurant business at once. Alexander Rabinov owns Yubileinoye LLC (retail trade), Istra MGIK LLC (restaurant business) and Obshchepit Unity LLC, while his partner Vladislav Demkin owns Vek LLC (restaurant business).

The medicine

Oddly enough, a number of regional "night wolves" are associated with business in the medical field. “Probably because the leader is the Surgeon,” Felix Chernyakhovsky, one of the brightest representatives of the head club, joked in a conversation with Znak.com.

In Novosibirsk, the “wolf” Sergey Menshikov is a co-owner of LLC Sibmedtekh (trade in medical equipment) and LLC Mediapharm (trade in medicines). In Tatarstan, Alexander Leontiev owns a medical institution LLC "Eagle Clinic". In Pskov, Yuri Burlin is engaged, among other things, in the wholesale trade of medical equipment through SK Service LLC.

Finally, the already mentioned Istra "wolf" Alexander Rabinov is the owner of a number of institutions providing dental services: Dentalia LLC, Megamed LLC, Dental Clinic No. 1 LLC.

Construction

Another brutal sphere of business interests is the construction and development business. Vitaly Padalkin from Krasnogorsk owns Forward LLC, which is engaged in construction work. The company of Yuri Makarenko, co-founder of the club in the same city, is engaged in property management. In the city of Kashin, Istok Development OJSC Vasily Zhuravlev leases out his own property. In Kaliningrad, Sergei Tolochko owns the construction companies LLC Bars 39 and LLC Baltregionstroy, and his partner in founding the local branch of the Night Wolves, Alexei Kachurin, owns the installation company LLC Divino.

There are representatives of the construction business among the "wolves" in Tyumen. One of the leaders of the club, Nazariy Dobrovolsky, owns the companies DMS LLC and Spetsstroyavto LLC in this area. His northern neighbor, Dmitry Burlev, a “night wolf” from the YaNAO, is also connected to the construction business through his Rostransstroy LLC.

In the Pskov region, the already mentioned Yuri Burlin, in addition to a medical equipment trade enterprise, owns Montazh SK LLC and Scorpion Monitoring LLC, which are engaged in construction and installation work.

Mount Athos and Sexton Club

However, it is hardly an exaggeration to say that the main business of the "wolves" - at least at the federal level - is their social activities. Acquaintance and even quite friendly relations between Alexander Zaldostanov and Vladimir Putin is a good resource that shows its capitalization. It is no coincidence that the most rapid growth of regional branches was observed in recent years, especially in the summer-autumn of 2015. In total, more than 30 regional and local clubs have been created in Russia to date. Several projects are affiliated with the parent organization, which regularly receive large budget grants.

For example, in December 2015, it became known that the youth autonomous non-profit organization (rather a rare form of foundation!) "Night Wolves" won a presidential grant from the operator "Union of Women of Russia". Grant funds in the amount of 9 million rubles were received by the "wolves" for the organization Christmas trees for children in the bike center. By the way, the status of the recipient of the grant did not prevent the organizers of Christmas trees from organizing the sale of tickets - 2000 rubles each.

“The historical and spiritual heritage of the Russian people, the current problems of Russia are taught in a fabulous, and therefore understandable manner for children,” is a quote from the grant application. The parents of the children who came to the Night Wolves Christmas tree were quite embarrassed, to put it mildly, by the politicization of the performance: it is easy to guess that the main bullies, without which, according to the law of the genre, not one children's fairy tale with a happy ending can do, turned out to be Americans. An additional spice to the experience of bikers in holding New Year's mornings was introduced by the fact that the same "Union of Women of Russia" refused to receive grants for socially oriented NGOs: for example, the Vera Foundation, which provides assistance to hospices, or the Volunteers to Help Children - orphans."

There are also a number of public organizations through which the “wolves” collected presidential grants in 2015. In December 2015, the interregional public organization "Russian Motorcyclists" received 3.5 million rubles from the grant operator "National Charitable Fund" to organize a motorcycle race to Mount Athos - "in order to develop the institutions of Russian public diplomacy, popularize the cultural and historical values of Russia and Russian Orthodoxy" . In September 2015, another grant operator, the Union of Pensioners of Russia, gave 7 million rubles to the International Public Organization “Motor Tourism Federation” for a series of automobile and motorcycle pilgrimages “Russian Road”.

"Federation of Mototourism" and "Russian Motorcyclists" are public organizations established by Evgeny Strogov, with whom Zaldostanov-Khirurg also established MANO "Night Wolves". The third co-founder is Vyacheslav Skoda, who also partially owns the foundation of the Russian Motorcyclists. On a par with Strogov, Skoda also became the founder of a certain NGO "Night Wolves". In other words, having spawned public organizations, the guys have prepared a good infrastructure for receiving money through potential grant recipients.

Zaldostanov himself is listed as a co-founder of the MANO and the NGO "Night Wolves", a fund for supporting patriotic projects with exactly the same name, as well as the NGO "Russian Motorcyclists". In addition, with his participation in Volgograd, the public organization "Stalingrad Appeal" was registered. An interesting detail: in the SPARK database, Alexander Zaldostanov appears as Zaldostanov. But whether this is a banal mistake in writing the name of the main “night wolf” when compiling the database, or something more lies behind this, history is silent for now.

Valery Korneev, co-owner of Tsantrselkhozkompaniya LLC in the Tambov region, is the general director of the Night Wolves Patriotic Projects Support Fund. Anatoly Moskalev is the director of MANO "Night Wolves", and the company itself is the founder of the famous bike club "Sexton".

Failed "head bikers"

The Night Wolves can be proud of a number of noisy actions, the most famous of which was their cross-border motorcycle races for May 9th. For the position of the "wolves" on the issue of belonging to the Crimea (where, however, as you know, things have not gone well with the Surgeon and his comrades - at the suggestion of local deputies, there is a ban on the use of the plot of land allocated to the "wolves" near Sevastopol), US and Canadian sanctions. In the public space, "wolves" are overgrown with everything that nowadays befits those whose patriotic position cannot be doubted for a second, experts say.

The Russian government is based on the idea that our country is on the side of good, and good should be with fists. Sooner or later this should give rise to such a phenomenon as "paramilitarization". These are formal and not so formal associations of citizens, which, on the one hand, are not included in the repressive apparatus of the state, but on the other, they are de facto part of it. Either way, it's effective. power resource, which can be “turned on” in the fight against the opponents of the state, but at the same time remain “nothing to do with it,” political scientist Abbas Gallyamov argues about the role of the “Night Wolves” on the socio-political stage of Russia.

“Along with the Cossacks, the Night Wolves are the most graphic visualization of the paramilitary idea. They have two functions: to serve as a scarecrow for the opposition and to be evidence that the government relies not only on the bureaucracy, but also on other, "people's" social groups. Sometimes it seems to me that the Surgeon has one more task: in addition to that, he needs someone else who will visibly embody the idea of a brutal force guarding the regime. And this signal already says that none of those on whom power relies should feel like a monopolist, ”adds Gallyamov.

Alexei Makarkin, vice-president of the Center for Political Technologies, returning to the business basis of the Night Wolves, notes that bikerism was originally associated with medium-sized businesses. After all, in order to buy a cool motorcycle, regularly travel to Europe and ride across the country to biker events, you need money, and a lot of money by regional standards. “Plus self-affirmation, prestige, of course. If a biker is another face of a businessman, then this is how a businessman gets rid of the reputation of a “merchant”, which is still a bad attitude in Russia, left over from Soviet times,” says the political scientist.

At the same time, he is convinced that the role of the "wolves" is now exaggerated - the authorities paid attention to them when it was necessary to confront the "white ribbon" opposition, but now this threat is irrelevant, and therefore the need for "wolves" has decreased. In addition, during their stay in the focus of public attention, the Night Wolves could not act as a consolidating force even in their community. The “wolves” have a difficult relationship with other biker clubs and the role of “lead bikers” has not yet succeeded for them,” Makarkin sums up.
