The basis for the Sables was the popular GAZelle. However, for the new family, some changes have been made to this platform. For example, the length of the wheelbase has been reduced from 2900 to 2760 millimeters. The body itself was also reduced by 660 millimeters. It is worth noting that the GAZ-2752 has the same all-metal van as the classic GAZelle.

Simultaneously with the GAZ-2752, the production of its main modification, which received the factory index GAZ-27527, started.
